I just placed my first order with SKS--and I have to say that Ruth is the loveliest person to deal with. She's a great communicator (I made a mistake with the foreign postage amount but we nailed it down almost immediately), and the dispatch is as fast as you could want. I'm only now adding some "real" silk routines to my acts, and I look forward to receiving these beautiful pieces I ordered.
The history of magic is very important to me, and therefore there's something extra special about ordering the Rice silks from SKS. And can I say, the generosity of the sharing of silks knowledge in the Smooth as Silk section of the Café is very much appreciated by this silk-newbie. Thanks, everyone! Geoffrey

Geoffrey,
You are right. Ruth is one in a million. There is no reason to ever apologize for SKS products. Treasure them. Bob Sanders Magic by Sander |

Geoffrey Posted: Dec 4, 2008 4:11pm My first lot of Rice silks and dye tube arrived yesterday. The silks are so beautiful, so elegant, so bold and bright and gorgeous. It is like handling dreams in my hands. I love them. Life is good. G

I still have several Rice silks--including an Imperial Dragon Zombie Foulard--that I purchased nearly 30 years ago. They're still in impecable condition--no runs, snags or frayed hems.
They were more expensive than the other silks being sold at that time, but IMO worth every penny. |

Please advise their website. I'm looking for dye tube comparable to Johnsons.

Alan,
If you want a dye tube like the Johnson hand held tube, I think the Rice Simplex dye tube will do the job for you. The other larger ones are the Al baker style and are to be used with a sheet of paper. You might want to pick them up also to have though. Richard

I got the Al baker style tube with my last order and it's great; the routine supplied with it is terrific.
Geoffrey Posted: Dec 17, 2008 1:27am I just did my first performance using some of my new Rice silks--the gay devil and the 25' streamer coming out of the square circle blew the audience away. It was fabulous. I'm on a Rice silk high! Geoffrey
