Love the idea of a spectator's signed coin ending up inside a sugar packet. I'm considering adding this to my restaurant set in the future. What I'm looking for are any suggestions for a good solid routine. No problem if there is considerable setup. My main concern is the believability of the singed coin ending up inside the sugar packet. I would like to explore as many handlings as I can. I appreciate any and all suggestions.

Scotty York has a version of this. I believe you can get it in "The Worlds Greatest Magic: Dinner Table Magic" and in his own DVD series.

It is an awesome version, if I remember correctly the spectator actually chooses the sugar packet. Good stuff!

I forgot to mention. I have the luxury of being able to "vanish" and set up at the locations where I perform. So either an impromptu version or a complex set-up version will work. What I'm looking for is the most convincing routine. Thanks

Look into the one mentioned above, it's a bit of a set up and it'll do the job in a very convincing manner. I just rewatched it on my Worlds Greatest Magic dvd. It's also very simple to do, just a bit of a set up.

Jay Sankey has one fabulous signed coin to sugar packet in The Greatest Hits and The Secret Files..

I know its not a coin but Dean Dill has a really nice signed bill to sugar packet on his intimate miricles series, which is worth checking out. it resets and is perfect for strolling. other wise I reaccon scotty yorks version is a winner. Also Nefesch has a signed coin to chip packet, I don't own the effect and don't know the handeling but maybe you could modify it to fit a sugar packet.

Some of these effects can be built into a routine using the Slydini trick (where most of these effects come from already and which can be performed standing) possibly including a magical transfer of the sugar between the two closed fists (using a TT). Another alternative is offered by performing David Williamson routine with the coffee cup then Slydini then whatever version of the coin in the sugar packet we prefer: a full routine ending clean.
Some copper silver routine can be made with sugar packets stuck back to back

Thanks Kannon. I do my version all the time when I am hopping. I don't offer it as a replacement for any of the excellent routines already listed, just a different handling.

While not EXACTLY what you're looking for, Kozmo's Bill in Sugar Packet is a real world stunner that would be a great alternative to the coin that is well worth you researching.
