Didn't three people die running the New York marathon? Think of black friday as the marathon for bargain hunters.

I believe these specials with limited amounts to sell started years ago as "Washington's Birthday Sale" This was even before we had presidents day.
I remember as a kid adds like a typewriter for one cent only two to sell, cars $1.00 one to sell etc.on Washington birthday sale. I have seen on the news several times,I believe Macy's,once a year wedding dress sale.Talk about a mob scene, thoses women will kill to get a deal on a wedding dress...hehehe. Later,Don |

Is the death of someone that would stand in line all night to shop at Walmart a loss or is it just thinning the herd?

My shopping is all done via online - click click and it's done. Lots of good bargains for the bargain hunters and beat the crowd! Most offer free shipping!

I stand corrected; indeed, a loss.

Many of the stores duplicate their sales ONLINE without having to go there. These prices were available on the day before actually and some available ONLY online. To many though it's a social event...I could have gotten my same deals online but wanted to go and see what it was all about. Glad I did.

Being shot or mugged on street is entirely different than being killed by idiots on a shopping spree.

Trample a man to death shopping for Christmas?
Jesus would be so proud. That's a man's life we're talking about... Someone must go to jail for that. I really mean it this time when I ask, what has the world come to?
