You cannot go wrong with RNT2, the 12" set I received is spectacular. Order quickly or you may miss the best set of solid rings you'll ever own!

I'm anxiously awaiting the sets I've bought. I ordered one set the day they were first announced in RNT2's email newsletter. Since several people have mentioned receiving theirs, I expect mine will arrive soon.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the kind comments on my rings Smile I believe Hocus-Pocus is out of their stock for my rings already and I am left with only a handful of sets left.

My personal opinion would be to go for Owens or Dominico Dante. I own a dante set for 2 - 3 years ( Brass Set) before it broke during my show, and I had to weld it back.

So far my own Redefine Rings are serving me really well, and I don't think I will ever do another run soon when this batch finishes. Too high cost and low demand...

Hi Guys

I have to tell you if Jeremy only has a few sets of his Redefine Rings left you better jump on them. I think for the money they are the best rings on the market. I have banged on mine for nearly a year and no dents and I do a number of crash links. Like I mentioned earlier I also have a set of Owen Rings and I am not sure I can tell them a part. That is a pretty nice tribute to the Redefine Rings when you consider they are in price 50% less than the Owen Rings.

Do a search for Redefine Rings on the Café as I know that others where also very happy with them!!!

If you buy some rings I would also recommend Capehart's ring dvd and McBride's Commando Act which has some great info on the rings!!!

Enjoy the rings as they are my favorite effect to perform for both kids and adults. For now I do mainly a three ring routine and it has played very well for me.

Have a nice day!!!

Based on the many positive comments in this thread, and with the new price reduction that showed up on the RNT2 Website for these 12 inch rings just this last week (they're now closed out at just under $95.00 per set), I just ordered a set so I could get them while they are still available.

Their Website said that they had just 6 sets left as of this morning, so with my order, that would leave them with just 5 sets.

I really don't need another set of linking rings as I have four sets in various configurations and sizes anyway, but, you just can't go wrong with a top quality set of linking rings at a great price, now can you?

The photos on their Website lead me to believe that these are sweet, meaty, thick rings that should (I hope) last a lifetime.

The 3/8" thickness and the fact that they are 12 inch rings means that they will be great for just about any show and should troupe really well for a long, long time.

I ordered two sets of the rnt2 linking rings over the weekend (because I do an 11 ring routine). I'll report back about the rings when I see them.

Wow, Levent, an 11 ring routine. I use only 8. If you have a clipping of your routine, I will be glad to see it.

We should listen to Pete as he knows everything there is to know about the rings... and he has a ton load of stories around them.

If you have a question with the rings send him a PM: you're in for a treat!

I recently ordered a set of RnT2 12" rings as well. They've not arrived yet but, when they do, perhaps we can compare notes?

Chris Capehart advised me once to buy cheap 10 inch rings. "They work the best," he said.

I ordered a set of the 12" also. I am waiting for them to arrive. I hope they are as good as the originals.

This is a true statement. I tried using 12" owen rings with capehart's routine and the crash link and especially the blocked crash link were much more difficult. And with the cheap 10" rings, who cares. They work great and they're cheap.

Re: rings

Someone bought a set from me yesterday because....
"I previously bought a set from you for my son but one of them broke. There's a 1" piece that broke off".

I cannot imagine how a 1-inch piece would break off but there's also the possibility that they're not broken?

I told the person to make sure they ask their son to see if he agrees. I was not sure what else to tell him.

Maybe one broke. Maybe one didn't??????????????

I have not heard back yet.

:hmm:... are you suggesting that the RING has FINALLY been broken, so now the skys will soon turn dark and all things on earth will be smitten and turn to dust? ?! Smile Smile Smile

:hungry:

If so, that's apretty heavy accusation to lay on a (possibly) innocent 6 year old.

I've had rings where the key was made by cutting a single. In other words, there was a welded seam somewhere in the key ring, and the slot was cut elsewhere. Although this might seem like a strange way to go about making a key, there would be a good reason. It would ensure the key ring is rounded and aligned at the slot. I've also had cheap rings break at a weld. If there was a welded seam an inch or so from the slot, and if the weld joint was sub-par in quality, that would put the weld at risk of breaking because that's right where you smack it when crash linking. I could easily see it happening.

Hi Dynamike:

The 11 Linking Ring routine (chain of three, chain of two, five singles and one key ring) that I do is pretty much based on the Benson ring routine. The Benson ring routine is explained in my book "Roy Benson By Starlight".

In the Benson book, I took over 50 pages and 200 step-by-step photographs to explain the Benson's ring routine and if you look at the photos really fast it could look like a video of me doing the routine. LOL

By the way I am really looking forward to getting this RNT2 12" as I like heavy rings but at present I only have a 10" set. And quite frankly I feel that because I am 6 feet 2 inches tall and nearly 200 pounds the smaller set looks like a toy in my hands. Also since I mostly perform in theaters that seat 1000+ people, the 10 inch set of rings is a bit too small. This is the same reason why I do the Billiard Balls with 2 1/4 diameter Fakini's and the Salt Pour with an oversized Salt Shaker.

With small apparatus magic, the props are hand holdable, but they still must "Read" to the back of the house.

Just talked to my wife on the satellite phone and she tells me that the RNT2 rings have arrived. I won't be back home until next week, but I look forward to playing with the rings and I will post my impressions of the RNT products as soon as I can.
