I use the street shells, they are my favorite since I can use them on any surface and they are small enough to carry around in my pocket. I have also used the scarabs and some shells I made myself.

Depending on if I want to draw or have a small crowd (Deacon Dan Shells), part of the act (School for Scoundrel Copper shells, SFS Street shells, and/or scarab shells.

I use a set of Jerry Mentzer cast pewter shells that are more than 30 years old. They look terrific, and they have a great weight and feel...and the all-important Chanin dip as well.

I use the Deacon's but I'm a bit bias, I make them!
Our friends don't have to agree with me about everything and some that I hold very dear don't have to agree about anything, except where we are going to meet them for dinner.

I saw those shells on the new shell game DVD set of Whit's, "The Scoundrels Touch". Those were your shells weren't they? I hope so...they are very, very nice. One might say a work of art.

Mota, Yes and thank you for your kind words about the Deacon's shells. Bob Sheets does an awesome routine with them and I feel honored it was included in this great shell game tutorial that SFS has made available to us all.

Tom shells are awesome and always gets the oohs and aahs from the boys.
They are perfect for the table hopping routine on the new Scoundrels Touch dvd. I also used Tom's shells on Koz's excellent quarterly magazine Reel Magic. The best 10 bucks you can spend. We should all be getting that video magazine. Bob. |

I use real walnut shells...eaten by me. I'm so cheap that I made my own set... but it works quite well and couldn't be happier for the price...3,99$ for a bag? can't remember :-P
