I'm a college student who is looking to getting into dove magic eventually, and was just wondering if anyone else was in this position and could offer some advice about feasability since pets aren't really allowed in my dorm.
Thanks!

Evan, there are so many topics in this forum about maintaining doves, I don't know which one to link you to first. You question is very vague but first of all, if your dorm rules prohibit pets, I wouldn't consider getting doves until you can move out. Doves can be noisy, they are messy and do spread dander all over everything.
I would read as many books as possible and watch as many videos as you can before seriously thinking about getting into doves. They are time consuming, and require a lot of attention.

Thank you Dave,
I have begun my quest into learning dove magic through a small collection of books and movies, I was just looking for anyone in the same situation as I was. I appreciate your comments! Evan

Doves used in magic, kept in college dorms where no animals are allowed? David Ginn and I have no idea what you are talking about. We take the 5th! (Amendment that is!)

Sorry, I've been rushed the last few days, here's a more detailed explanation of what I was asking:
As there are no birds allowed in my dorm room, I was wondering if anyone has/uses/performs with doves but is not allowed to keep them in their home. Maybe they stay with friends or family or someone else. I was looking for people in this kind of boat, and wondering if it was worth the hassle not to have them with you, or if it is even possible to work with doves/birds when they are not living in the same residence as you. Maybe they don't train as well if you don't have contact every day or they don't get used to constantly seeing you? Hopefully that helps. Thanks and sorry for the confusion

Evan,
Find you an old professor that is teaching simply because he likes being around students and ask for help. You would be surprised how resourceful they can be helping students with other life problems. Odds are good they can find a place to keep doves near campus for you. If you are the guy feeding and watering the doves daily, it will make you the safe place where ever you are. Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |
