Goes on to say how he developed a diet. Nothing there to give anyone the idea that his Ph.D. is in marketing, other than the blatant attempt to get a reader to believe that he is indeed a M.D. Paragraphs later he lists his educational achievements: "holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters from Oakland University and a Ph.D. from Northcentral University." Again no mention that the Ph.D. is in marketing. David J. Castle is F.O.S. I.M.H.O.
You know why don't act naive.

Anyone who has a passion for magic has seen this stuff come and go before.

I don't want too get involved, but most of the stuff he has can be found in any beginners magic book.

That will give the dealers a harder time to sell their products. Us magicians will have to pay for Dave Castle's wrong doings because the dealers will have to raise their prices to stay in business.

His site is not very well attended and he and his site gets more exposure here because of threads like this. I think magicians want guys like Castle to be out there because it gives them something to b***h about.

To "The One." Nobody has any respect for a magician who will not defend our secrets or a poster who hides behind a false identity.
To Mike: David J. Castle is not the masked magician, the masked moron or any of those other things. Valentino is the masked magician. I revealed his identity within 72 hours of the first Masked Magician broadcast on Fox. The original site where I revealed his identity has been moved to my anti-exposure magic site. To All: It does little good to fight the exposers. They won't go away. However, if you want to make people such as David J. Castle uncomfortable, there are ways to handle it. For example, you can call him about planning a marketing campaign. After taking enough of his time to give him a sizeable personal investment in your campaign, then ask him if he is the same David J. Castle who is revealing our tricks. Then point out to him that you won't do business with someone who doesn't respect the ethics of our business.

Heh! I love it. "Rick Roll" him. Internet judo. Using his own internet "non-savvy" against him. I have a feeling that Mr. Castle is going to be getting a lot more "bookings" in the near future...

If our secrets needed that much defending perhaps it might be an idea not to have anything generally on sale to anybody. That's where David J Castle got his exposures from you know...buying them off the great and the good. So on the one hand rabbiting on about exposure is all well and good but remember all you have to do is flash the cash to magician and you can have as much exposure as you want. |

I wonder what would happen if someone took his book and distributed copies for free to everyone who wanted it. Or more legally, take the information and share it for education/comparative purposes
I wouldn't condone that type of behavior, but would be curious to know his reaction. |

I think it's a fine idea Bill (not that I'd condone such behavior either)!
