The Barker and the Medicine are replicas that were used as pointer wands by showmen.
The "wand that cannot be named" is probably the most awesome wand I've ever handled. I asked Rare Earth to design the most wicked looking all wood wand they could, and they did not disappoint 
That wand weighs 3 times as much as an Alivan wand. BTW, I only host the wands for Rare Earth, all proceeds go to the wand maker. |

This would be the conversation with the cops upon seeing the 'wand that cannot be named' sitting on my passenger car seat:
Cop: "Get out of the car and back away from the weapon!" Me: "Um, it's just a wand officer." Cop (pointing a gun at me): "Oh yeah and where did you get this wand?" Me: "Outlaw." I don't think they'd understand. |

I saw "wands" like that in the hands of the little people of Equatorial Guinea; a very disconcerting sight to say the least. I was told they could bring down a rhino with those bad boys!

No Hawthorn though - same as Alivans. What's up with the lack of Hawthorn everywhere? (though I did find one elsewhere eventually)

Thanks guys, but as I said, I found a source for a hawthorn wand already.
I had ordered it days ago, just shortly before I came across this thread. I was just commenting on the irony of how hawthorn almost never seems to be a listed option, even though it's a "famous" magical wood, while much more exotic, rarer woods *are* listed. (Although I've asked Alivans last year and they don't have it at all) Nonetheless, I like to bookmark wand makers, so I'll take a peek, thanks. (ooh, those are nice too)

Argh..
Just for a note of ironic humor - I just saw, Alivans has Hawthorn wands now. I'd waited over a year.They never made them before. It's just ironic that after all that time, I finally find one elsewhere and ordered it, and within mere days, Alivans finally decides to come out with one! Ah well, I'm happy with the one I got. It's quite nice. I have some strange luck. If I ever want a custom wand though, I'll take a looky at rareearth.
