If you guys are looking for a fun piece of magic that takes up very little pocket space, plays big and is fun for kids and adults, check out "The Voodoo that you do" by Mark Zacharia. Check out the link above for details of the effect. I can tell you that I have been doing this for a couple weeks now and it gets a great reaction from all ages. Plus, the comedy that you can derive from it is huge. Highly recommended. David Corsaro
My new DVD ("The magic of David Corsaro") is now available from your favorite dealer. Watch the DVD that Daryl, Jon Allen, Shawn Farquhar, Boris Wild, Marc DeSouza, Asi Wind and Paul Green ALL ENDORSE.

Taiwanben:
Since this is a thread about THE VOODOO THAT YOU DO by Mark Zacharia, you should start a new thread about the Kennedy trick. (And by the way, John Kennedy hasn't made that prop for about twenty years, so it will be harder than usual to get a review.) Try starting a new thread on that and let's get back here to Mark Zacharia. Thanks!

Dave 1216,
How easy is the voodoo that you do? Any sleights? Sounds like a great effect. |

Okito's Voodoo Doll is a great close up trick for $10! The straw doll rises up on the palm of your hand. No threads. I have used it on cruises for years and gets a great reaction. It is not the same type of trick as this thread, but in combination, it could be a stunner. The pin could be stuck into the straw doll and it would rise on your hand to prove the pin was stuck in the correct place and the doll reacted!!!!!!!

Mark's effect looks really cool and I like what the props look like. Definitely something I would be interested in. If anyone can give a review or has a link to a possible video if one exhists, that would be awsome.
I like the voodoo doll plots and already peform John Bannon's voodoo inspired Shrieik of the Mutilated and Matthew Johnson's Voodoo trick due to it packing really flat as its always in my wallet so Mark's effect definitley looks like something I would buy. Tony
As magicians we create what onlookers call magic. If they truly believe in what we have created for them to witness then magic is real!!!

Any more comments on Mark Zacharia's "The Voodoo That You Do"?
It looks like an interesting trick. Is the effect clearcut? The handling clean? Anyone? - Steve H

The effect is very easy to do. Virtually sleight free. Trust me when I say that if you have ever picked up a deck of cards, you will have enough sleight-skill to do this trick.

To all regarding "The Voodoo that You Do"! I've been getting terrific feedback on this. So much so, I'm now releasing "Deluxe Voodoo that You Do," which allows you to repeat the effect and get a different outcome! This is the one you'll throw into your pocket and do in strolling situations.
Respectfully, Mark Zacharia

I recently saw this review of "The Voodoo that You Do" on an online magic dealer's website: 'This is a great little effect! It is just as advertised. Simple, easy and effective. It is learned quickly, carried easily, has an interesting story line and plays very well. My audiences have enjoyed it very much. It is a keeper!'--Al Tokarsky, Bellbrook, OH
