Due to recent information I have received, I would like to re-state categorically that I never saw Bob's routine or gimmick prior to creating mine. I saw him at FFFF in 2008 perform a CiB routine using a totally different gimmick and routine which is what led me to looking into doing CiB with the cap on.
Once again, independent creation rears it's head. Thanks, Jon Allen

I recently purchased this and I am very pleased with it. This makes the coin in bottle so much easier and more fun to perform.

How much improvement over the cork in wine bottle method?
...to all the coins I've dropped here

Jonathan,
I'm not familiar with the cork in wine bottle, but using a little imagination, I think I understand how it could work nearly the same way as Blindspot. Obviously, it is a bit different in that one works with wine bottles and the other works with bottles with screw on caps, but I would think it's the same basic concept. Also, Blindspot is for a single bend coin. I would think that perhaps the cork in wine bottle could be made to be used with a double bend coin. I hadn't thought of this, thanks for the thought. KJ |

Second time I performed this in practice the gimmick came apart. Not the coin, but the other item. Super-glued it back together but it has a tendency to come apart like that every so often. I won't use it anymore.
Anyone else have that happen? Jim |

Very old thread but I purchased this a few months ago never got around to watching/ performing as I was not aware I needed the extra coin gimmick. I got around to finally getting the gimmick but now I cannot find the DVD for this. Could someone please PM me I have a question or 2 that I need clarification on. I've watched the demo several times now and I think I've got at least 95% of it worked out I just need some clarification how the gimmicks stay in place. Those that have it that should make sense. Only proof of purchase was have at this time is being able to describe the gimmick. This was purchased at my local magic shop.

You are very fortunate in that you have a local magic shop! So many have closed. If you stop in there I am certain that they can show you exactly how it works and demonstrate it for you... especially since they sold it to you.

Quick update, I was able to figure it out after reading that a certain part of the gimmick tends to come apart, I found it "stuck" under something that was a larger diameter than it. It is now fixed and I've started to smooth out the handling for this. If my fix works better than what was originally used to keep the m****t in place I really like it.
Thank you all , @jmac, by local it's about 30 minutes from me and my working hours and their open hours don't work out too well. Oft times I actually have to take a lil vacation time from work to head out there mid day I don't mind though. Regards, J.ruiz |
