Both "Aha" books are excellent introduction to puzzles and how to solve them.
this is my first recommendation to any puzzle beginner - I even think they should be part of the high school program.

There were two "Aha!" books by Martin Gardner.

One had a blue cover with a large "Aha!" on it, and was subtitled "Aha! Insight". The one dealt with problems, puzzles and trick in combinatorics, geometry, number theory, logic, procedures, and words.

The other one had a red cover, and was called "Aha! Gotcha". This one focused exclusively on paradoxes of various kinds (including most of the above topics).

They've also been combined into one volume.

All three versions can be seen here, with a limited preview available of the 2-volume combined volume.

Are you sure the title is "Aha!" and is by Martin Gardner? If so, it's one of these 3 versions.
