Check this out...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie......90180682 (Beats the one I made - I took a nice big scarab and had a jeweler make it into a ring... but it looks like a 25cent bubblegum machine ring compared to this one!)... Now, if it had a magnet or a secret compartment built in then I could justify the cost.... so I can't justify buying it for that price - but for any collector's crazier than I... there ya go. Nice ring, but as the Curator of the Surnateum I need the real ring of Imhotep...
Not a copy. For the moment, I'm looking for Draupnir and Andvirinaut (arm rings), the ring of Gyges (but it seems invisible), and the ring of Solomon. Not to mention the one ring. The Surnateum has a small collection of magic rings, but that's another story. |

You may have noticed that a whole new necropolis has recently been discovered near Saqqara. There is some hope that Imhotep's actual tomb may eventually be uncovered as part of this project. So I am holding out for a cheap knock-off copy of the real thing.

I can only imagine the stories around that! as for the "Imhotep's Ring" When my folks had their "souvenirs" shops, they had HEAPS of "egyptian" rings, some of them made out of stone (no metal no nothing) will go through the stock and post some pictures, they were dirt cheap!

My personal ring is a grinning, fanged, 14-carat gold, cyclopean devil's head with a girasol (fire opal) for an eye.
I had it crafted custom.

My favorite is a XIXth century gold and china/porcelain poison ring with a skull. I placed it on a rapping hand. The ring opens...

If you like nice rings, try London's Crazy Pigs.
http://www.crazypigdesigns.com/welcomepage.html I've several rings made by that artist. (Like the Totem face ) Another of my favorite silver skull rings is Keith Richard's, designed by Courts and Hackett. Another of my skull rings was made by my John Dobrynine (Belgian actor). He made only 2, one for him and one for me. John Dobrynine was also a major influence on my magic. He showed me the importance of acting and storytelling in close-up magic. I've also several Axel rings, bt they ain't my favorites. http://www.axeljewelry.com/JEWELRY/rings/rings01.htm http://www.gothic-creations.com/newstore2/c6.html |
