Basically, it is a method to extend a pole(not using telescoping pole though) which allows 25 inches to turn into 20 feet lifting 200 pounds. The resulting column is as thin at the top as it is at the bottom. The method they use is pretty slick and uses 3 metal rolls(like measuring tape) that interlock together(zip) as they rise up to support each other. Very interesting indeed for a self contained indian rope or perhaps some self levitations..... |

Okay, that is just freakin' cool!
I can hardly believe that it holds 200 lbs. but, it's on the internet, so it must be true. I wonder if it can take much side-to-side force. The operation of the 'pole' extension is quite loud, but I imagine that such a concept could be used to devise a silent equivalent. Maybe no possible use for street magic, but it could have some great use in stage magic. |

That was neat!
I can visualize several applications for that outside of magic as well! Lyndel |

Guys, you are all wrong. It is really a long pole that comes up from a hole in the ground underneath the iRobot. Look closely at the video, you can see a dark spot right where the iRobot "conveniently" stops.
Just kidding. That is really cool. I could use this instead of my 4ft appearing wand. |

There is something weirdly stalker creepy about this in a nerd sort of way!

I love how someone commented "its fake" just as though it was a magic video on youtube.
