Ordered Marc Paul's version of ACAAN & just received it from the U.K..
As we all know, there is no 'Holy Grail' for this effect.
Allow me to trip back and mention, that, when I became aware of his take on this, I
found him performing on The Parkinson Show in the U.K.-for those of you that haven't

After this performance, there is another one, done in a stage presence.
I must have watched, both versions, @ least 10x's.
In both performances, Marc has the deck out of his hands before the card and number
is arrived at.
I have to be honest, On The Parkison Show, I felt that, either, there was pre-show work or he was extremely fortunate due to the deck not being in his possession when
the card and number was mentioned. Ditto on the stage presence clip.
I was leaning towards pre-show work on both.
Now that I have it, I am slightly disappointed after reading the explanation.
You must, first, display the cards using a somewhat open display fan & still retain
the deck until the card and number are both chosen. Then you hand the deck to, if
you want, a third party, 2nd. party or have the same Spec. deal the cards. Whatever
suits you.
He does give credit to the following people, Edward Bagshaw, Al Koran & T.A. Waters.
Part of the deck uses the N***** System.
I have Mr. Richardson's TOTM/Mr. Born's MTB and other versions.
If I knew beforehand that you have to retain the deck until the card & number is
given I probably who have passed on this. But, for around $22.00 U.S. it wasn't
too bad. The method will work.

On a side-note, There is a Magician in Italy, that I have been in touch with, last year, that told me that he came up with a 99.99-44/100%-like Ivory Soap-ACAAN-
meaning, close to the 'Holy Grail'. I was told by him, that, when he can put it on
a DVD he will send it to me. Hopefully, by the end of April. 3 months from now.
If I receive it, I will report back.

Update:
I sent a private e-mail to Mr. Marc Paul.
Asking him, if he could give me an 'out', that he uses, if things don't fall into
place. Since the deck, on these clips, is already out of his possession.
So, in other words, how do you ask for the deck back once you already have given
it away?.
Maybe he will answer me.

I don't think Bill educated you Sixten, it was obvious that Marc used a different method than the one you purchased. The question is what method?

Hopefully I will find out that answer.
I, after reading Mr. Palmer's thread, hit Mr. Paul with another e-mail.
Again, what I meant by being educated, If Mr. Palmer didn't inform me about
another method being used and Marc Paul doesn't come back to me in reference
to giving me a possible out then I would be constantly guessing.
If Marc tells me he his keeping the method in his private 'vault' so be it.
At least I tried.

Marc Paul answered my e-mails.
What I purchased is his 'short-cut', table-hopping, version.
For now, I will stay with the ACAAN version that I have been using.
Again, if the gentleman in Italy comes through on his promise and if it shows
something totally new, you never know, I will post a review.

British Magician Garry Jones is apparently releasing his versions of ACAAN at some point which I hear are very good!

Sixten have you heard of a book called "Meant to be" by Born? I think you would enjoy it. It deals with a number of ways to do ACAAN. Also there is a good ACAAN by Edouardo Kozuch that is very good but you must practice it. It cost about 300.00.

What version did you try if you don't mind me asking?

Yes, I have Mr. Born's "MTB" & also, amongst others, Mr. Richardson's "TOTM".
(Forgot,&, Mr. Richardson's impromptu version)

Just so you know, though, I did not purchase, I am aware of Mr. Kozuch's 2 ACAAN
products: Jumbo card version & 1-To-52.

Presently, I'm sticking with my version. Which utilizes the Si Stebbins' stack.
A 1 deck, & 2 deck presentation.

For me, using the above, clean and direct.

It makes me smile to keep hearing everyone bang on about Marc Paul on Parkinson. Let me tell you this I have spoken to people very close to Marc and to David Berglas and I can guarantee you they both had pre show work 100%. I like the rest of the magic world am after the holy grail on this plot , but get real it is not goner happen, we all know what Marc did with Parky is absolutely impossible , so it will never be quite like that unless stooges are used or pre show work period.

Before I purchased "Affected by Berglas", a friend, contacted Marc Paul, and
asked him: "If this, effect, was the one he used on the Parkinson Show.
He was told: "YES".
So, We, both, went for the effect.
The rest of the story is threaded above, as you already read.
Marc made 2 extra transactions.
Again, If I knew that this version was different- the purchase would have never
had happened.
