A Wiz Kote is a good one, I've used mine in several birthday shows. I always finish the birthday show with the Duck pan. You can use lots of comedy as you and the birthday kid "Bake " a gift. I use items like the brake away scissors, fall apart wand and fan. You can even toss in the old spring snakes from the can. You can then magically bake a gift. A stuffed animal for a girl or a few Hot Wheels for a boy.
I hope these give you a few ideas.
