Magician = Man.

Is there a reason beyond some vague, queasy feeling of insecurity that makes you adopt this position?

No.

I will never accept a someone who doesn't know what a plural is as a magician. You can do all the tricks you want but that will not make me think otherwise.

I'm not looking for you to agree or disagree, that's just how I feel.

Magician = Someone who can tell the difference between waitresses and waitress'.

See, now where Justin's post takes a look at a bald-faced truth, Nosher is just splitting hairs. While woman can and do fine magic, it might not sit right with some, just as grown men can and do ride bikes, but it still looks silly.

Women + Bike shorts = magic
Male Magician + Bike shorts = bad idea

Thus endeth the lesson

So Justin really does some coin magic.
Our friends don't have to agree with me about everything and some that I hold very dear don't have to agree about anything, except where we are going to meet them for dinner.

None of my friends would describe me as having feminist sympathies, but when it comes to magic I am absolutely convinced that women are under represented and unfairly discounted by a group of people who really should know better. I have often seen a female magician get treated with some sort of 'pat on the head aren't you clever' condescending crap from bloated, polyester draped warthogs who seem to think they are still great when they peaked as magicians back in 1972.
My reason for getting uptight here is that no matter what you may think of your status in this world as a magician - the rest of the world pretty much looks at you like a Star Trek geek about to get mangled for his school lunch money.
And yes, I like Star Trek.

You could call yourself a starfish and I'll accept it.

No no no... I'm only a starfish on Saturdays. I'm a magician every other day of the week! Smile

Grammatically, isn't it magicienne with the female gender?
The difficult must become easy, the easy beautiful and the beautiful magical.

Man...Nobody has a sense of humor around here...lol

What I really meant to say is the word magician is masculine, not feminine.

But what I like (in this little social experiment) is the way people feel free to attack me. That's funny, to me.

Sorry to get you bent out of shape.

BTW: Please don’t make fun of bike shorts, they’re scientifically formulated to protect. If anything, make fun of me for paying more than $100.00/pair. Now that is ridiculous!

One more thing…

Why in the world would anyone take what I say seriously? I’m an idiot! So, if you get all bent out of shape, what does that make you?
