The Magic Cafe Forums - Using other peoples material

I have only stolen one joke in my on stage career. I won't say what it is. It was many years ago... Also... A elderly friend & mentor of mine, Tom Prete, Passed away last year. He used to carry around a cheat note of one liners that he used in everyday conversation and MC work. I wish I had that little piece of paper. These little bits of stuff gave him character. I use the ones (as I remember them) so I will not forget them or him. I feel like I can keep a part of a good friend with me that way. stealing??? I don't look at it that way... it's more like keeping his memory alive.
