I also like CMH with two rubber bands, buth you can also do it with a ring. I use this routine with a lot of succsess: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HCs6PI8PQs
This routine is best to do with a ring with smooth finish, so I always try to borrow a wedding ring. (I also have my own ring in back hand, but the spectators give more applause if you use a borrowed ring) If you like this routine, you can learn it in a few days....and it rocks. -Morten- |

CMH. My thumbs are pretty straight so the rubberband jumps off the thumb once in a while when the move is taking place. "Pencil through rubberband" (not sure about the name) is a great trick too.

Chris Kenner's "missing link" has been out done by Vince Mendoza, and Vinny Marini who introduced the one hand display to it. Vince calls his "found link" and Vinny just shows his to friends.

CMH is a great effect, but combined with Stargazer it is a real shocker.

But Cardmaster.. my fingers are ravaged with sprains and papercuts from our brutal card sessions! Now with rubberbands, I can also tie off a nice digital tourniquet and prevent ensanguination. See you next week for another episode of "Close Up Magic Survivor" with Christoher Lyle.

I have experimented with a lot of rubberband magic. I have at least 4-5 books on tricks just dedicated to rubberbands. In my opinion I get the best reactions to the CMH than any other rubberband trick. It's just my opinion of course. You obviously don't agree. |

G man I do aggree with you about CMH it is awonderful effect but to say it is the best is youropinion.I only stated what other effects have you tried /
have you experimented with any of the meddoza effects ?/ or my effects? \ or harlan effects or rindinfleish effects. I believe as Al Angelo pointed out cmh cmbined with other effects makes band magic even stronger. |

I feel the most MAGICAL feeling comes from STARGAZER.
As others have listed, CMH, PINNACLE, THE JOINING or MISSING LINK, TRAVELING CASH, SNAPPED and many others are all great. But I think when a rubber band transforms into a shape this is VERY Magical. I also end the Stargazer routine with an Animal band instead of the Star using different patter of course. |

Again my point there are many excellent effects out there and to say which is the
best is wrong . A better answer is which effect is your favorite or most magical to you is proper my two cents vinny |

If anyone has seen it, Jeff McBride taught me a great one-band effect that he learned in India from a non-magician who knew this one trick. The band is stretched between two fingers, much like CMH. The other hand pinches the two strands together and moves them up and down while the patter says "as above, is as below and in the middle... infinite potential" the fingers are unpinched and the band is shown to have formed a figure 8, the sign of infinity.
This had the room of 10+ magicians dumbfounded... TWICE. |
