B-Rad,
Thanks for your informed post and helping to educate with facts. I, personally, still don't see how this page clicking helps, aside from the LINK ITSELF in the thread to the sites. Page views is something that Google just can't see. Its only visible from within your server. Page FRESHNESS, however, is noticed by Google. So if you've UPDATED your pages often, you'll rank higher, which is why so many news sites and blogs rank so well. But I'm just an old-timer (who remembers emailing in Pine) in this quickly evolving web-thing! Scott |

Scott... you are correct. I was just trying to help out. In short of everything I said..Your clicks are not tracked by google just your links on other sites.
Now if you want to have google track your click and trends to your site try Google Analytics. Pop that code on your site and you can get a detail information what google sees after you place the code there. Page Rank is by your links to you and links on your site to others. Page Hits is by someone clicking on that link on a site, email, or favs. I now sure if that clears it up. This will help your ranking some by having your site listed. Having everyone click on it will not. It is nice to see what the others websites look like. There are some really good ones and not so good ones. Cheers, B-Rad

B-Rad, sorry, I just wasn't clear in my post. I was agreeing with you a hundred percent. The second part of my post was just a general statement. Not directed at you!
Yes, have known about the page freshness thing for quite some time, which is why I'm such a huge Wordpress fan. Most of my sites are self-hosted wordpress sites for this purpose and the other remaining ones are being converted over. |

From what I understand, Google likes Links to your website and likes "one way links" even better (in other words your address is listed on someone else's site but their site is not listed on your site'.)
So with that in mind, this is a great place to post the link for my website: http://www.LifeIsMagical.com

I'm up for the experiment.
I'm already number two (today) when a search for Utah Magicians is made. And I'm seldom out of the top 5. So let's see if I can grab that number one spot that changes every month or so! http://www.danscomedymagic.com

OK... was at the "Master Class for Balloon Artists" and just now getting back to the Café`
ummm this won't work... it MIGHT.. add another back link (link from somewhere else to you) which can help, but the clicks "WILL NOT" increase page rank... Not only will it not increase it ummm page rank only gets a public update when google feels like it (usually once a quarter) to increase page rank... 1. get more inbound links from relevant sites.. 2. Social bookmark yourself..
its ok.. balloon dogs don't bite

That is what I have been trying to say Mike... I guess I was not clear
![]() O well. A link is a link and it will not hurt you. I do like looking at the sites that people are posting. Some need some help not just in their page ranking. Scott your post was clear and understand you were agreeing me. Thanks. I just didn't note that. I just keep seeing that people think by clicking on all the sites will increase their page ranking and it will not. Cheers, B-Rad

A better approach to co-operative clicking is to target google search itself.
You search on the particular search term where the person would like to rank higher. You scroll to that persons listing (it might be on the 2nd or 3rd page). And you click and visit their site. Google search wants it's search engine to work and people to find what they are looking for. If will move listings higher if people are clicking that listing. I set this up with a small group of MagicCoach subscribers some time ago with quite good results. It does work, but it does take time. timothy Posted: Jan 19, 2009 4:46pm Another approach that has already been mentioned is to build both your Incoming AND Outgoing links. Once again this is something you can do cooperatively. The idea is to link to people with High page Ranks and encourage them to link to you. I believe Google rewards sites that have a balance of Incoming and Outgoing links. And the higher those pages are ranked the better. You can put together a Recommended colleagues list, my suppliers list or something similar. Once again, I have done this in the past with a small group both with my MagicCoach group and my speakers group. We all had page rankings of 3, 4 or 5. Feel free to link to http://www.magiccoach.com/ it's currently PR4 Quote:

I think you right MrHyde. It's my understanding that not only do they know what page you came from, they can track all your clicks.
Tom PS. If so, we all may be going to jail. Hang around Curtis; we may need you to pick some locks. LOL

As simple as I can put it...
Google does not track your click from here to another site. If you had the Google Analytics on your site they would. Mr Hyde is correct on Google does track your click IF you do a search with Google and click on the links there. Also the comment about a link is a link was a loose statement for this thread. A link posted here to your site that is a valid site is not a bad thing. No one was talking about farm banks. That is another topic all together. I was just posting to help and educate....not to debate. Google has everything about Analyics, Adwords, Adsence, Ranking, Page Hits, and much more. You can read it all there and decide what is best for you. You can even call them and they will answer a majority of your questions. Another then that .... Post your links away. If you want to see what other sites look like click away. Clicking on them WILL NOT increase your page ranking with Google or Any other search engine. Cheers, B-Rad
