Here are the marketed descriptions of both...

Helium Glass 2

"It's New and Improved! We obtained the rights to create our own improved version of the classic Helium Glass. It uses an ordinary pop-top can of cola, beer or whatever you prefer. The Magician displays a can of cola and a clear glass. He pops open the can and starts to pour himself a drink. Suddenly his hand completely leaves the glass which is now floating in midair as he continues to pour! The free floating glass slowly descends from the can and rises again, and all the while, the Magician is pouring away. Use any can, any liquid. You can actually drink the liquid from the glass. This is a great little illusion you can perform withing 5 MINUTES AFTER YOU GET IT!"

Floating Glass Plus

"You show a regular bottle and a clear glass. Then you start to pour liquid from the bottle into the glass. Suddenly you release the grip on the glass and the glass levitates in midair! So far so good but a well known trick in magic. Now comes the new preparation in play: The glass starts to levitate downwards, nearly to the floor and rises then up again into your waiting hand! All this is done while you pour liquid from the bottle into the floating glass!

This new method is much more baffling than the standard version available from others! There is action while the glass is levitating. The spectators won’t believe their eyes!

Works with nearly any type of bottle from all over the world! Use liquor and beer bottles, soft drink and soda bottles, milk bottles or whatever bottle you want to!

This effect is perfect for a manipulative act as well as for the conferencer and children entertainer. It fits into any magician’s repertoire. Tremendous impact has been added to the Floating Glass by the introduction of MOVING!

You receive a clever prepared glass in a highly attractive fully printed box. The glass is about 4 inches (10,5 cm) high, with a diameter of approx. 3.14 inches ( 8 cm) at the top and 2.16 ( 5,5 cm) at the bottom. The glass is made from high quality ABS plastic. It’s transparent with no mirrors used."

-------------

So, any reviews/comparisons of either of these effects? I've read of people having problems with Ultimate Airborne, so I was wondering if either of these would be a good solution. Couldn't find any reviews for either one, so I figured I'd start the first for both. Smile Any thoughts/suggestions would be welcome. Thanks!

To be honest, I have had and used the original airborne for over 15 years without issue. I have a Perrier bottle and it's a nice little interlude. This, in my opinion isn't a "feature" effect, it's a little surprise magic moment in an act.

I don't know about either of these "new" items as I have never needed to replace my Ultimate Airborne. I have a buddy who makes his own, he uses it for his snow storm.

I do have Floating Glass Plus. The method is totally different compare with regular airborne gimmick, very clever method. But the handling is not so simple as regular one.
