I just purchased some not long ago from Steven's Magic Emporium, but still haven't used them. There is a lot of good instruction and tips for the effect though and I like the idea of the last card coming up in the envelope and then the envelope opening up and the card rising out of it. Just something a little different than the other rising card effects. I really need to start practicing on it more and actually start performing it. When you have it and haven't even tried it, that's being pretty lazy huh? LOL!

I can't disagree with you more. The price is high and that keeps it from people hands that do not want to do fantastic, entertaining, and surprising magic.

I have been doing it since the 1970's, it does take work to perform, it is not a self working trick, and that also keeps people from buying and performing it. That is fine with me.

Also it does not come with a DVD, you have to read and that is against most aspiring magicians. It requires you to assemble the gimmick and maintain the equipment and check it regularly before performing.

All in all it take work, practice and rehearsal to learn it and perform it correctly.

I hope I have discouraged you enough to not purchase this wonderful jumbo card rise.

The late great Ken Brooke never liked selling magic to anyone that would not read instructions and put in the effort with his magic offerings.

Here is a treat for those that want to see a Demo of the Nemo Jumbo Rising Cards. Well, it is more then a Demo, it is an actual performance of the person responsible for developing the effect with hundreds of performances for Ken Brooke.

The Famous Roy Johnson performing the Nemo jumbo Rising Cards at a magic conference in Germany.

It will only be on YouTube for a limited time. Enjoy!

Not that I am re-visiting this forum, I have to laugh at this statement. What is exactly an updated method?

As I remember all the current rising cards were available in the 1970's and are still being used today by smart performers.

DeVano, Goshman, AMY, Anverti, Ted Biet, etc. were all available back then.

I've still got an original Devano Deck made in the early 1970's by Mitch using Alf Cooke cards. It still works like an absolute dream.

I'd love to buy a Devano manufactured with a more updated pack. However, the only rising cards I've seen that work on a similar system are those woeful bloody Arne decks where the card only rises about halfway out of the pack; and doesn't use the excellent pin method so that the spectator can remove each risen card.

Does anyone manufacture good quality Devano decks these days?
