I watch the main interview first, then onto the Regal reviews, then to the Garrett Thomas/John Armstrong section, then to the tricks, then the move monkey sections.

Play All
Then I go back to what I want to see again. I try to put aside some time to watch the entire issue. It is difficult to shut off once I get engrossed in it. After watching an issue, I start looking for the next issue. Great Magazine! |

If it is in my mailbox when I arrive home, all other plans get put on hold and I watch the DVD in Play All mode. No calls are taken and the door is not answered.
This is one of my favorite magic purchases. Great stuff. John Kardel

Thanks for all your input....We are making some subtle changes to Reel Magic in the April issue that will make the Play all viewer a much more pleasurable experience... In my mind the play all as it stands is a little confusing. We have made some nice changes that I feel will make this thing so much better but when we change something or ad something new it kind of messes with the flow. I believe that this Febuary issue has the most content ever on a Reel Magic disc BUT I also believe that its not as effective this time out in play all....Watch it the way you normally do and please let me know what you think....
On a side note ALL Reel MAgic subscribers your disc will be shipped ON TIME Friday Febuary 30th thanks for your support Koz |

Like Tony Iacoviello, I watch Regal and some short columns first, then I go on to what other columns, tricks, etc. that interest me most. Finally, I go to play all to see if I missed anything.
One suggestion, and it might please your advertisers. In many magazines there is an advertiser index with the page number that each advertiser is on. You could do a menu in your "extra stuff" section that can access the individual advertisements. That way, people who want to know more about a product can access the ad from that menu. I actually find that the ads (at least new ads that I haven't seen before) are another feature of the magazine rather than something to be endured. Bill |

I've never watched "Play All" - I just go to the segments in whatever order they seem interesting, like reading a magazine. Now you tell me there's stuff I'll miss by doing that?!
One more thing... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop with the goofy sound effects and graphics during Regal's reviews. He's funny, he doesn't need "help" from a sound effect to tell us that he told a joke. |

I watch the feature interview first
Then David Kaye column Everything else is a hit or miss. All tricks are last though. But when I first started into magic I would've went to the tricks first and then maybe make it back to the interviews. I hope that helps Tim

I watch it like I read a magazine, front to back, cover to cover.

I watch the reviews of books, DVDs and tricks first, then the feature interviews then the rest.

I usually start at the menu and skip around to the different columns, sometimes starting in the middle, which probably means I have some strange neurosis ... most of the time I watch some parts a couple times before actually getting through the entire DVD. My approach is more like the way I read a magazine, starting with an article that looks the most interesting and then working out in both directions from there.

I hit play all. I've found that it's the best way for me to force myself to really familiarize myself with several genres. They recently had a piece on coins that I otherwise wouldn't have sat through otherwise. Very interesting.
