I think Pope sucked.

I kind of doubt the humor of that poem would translate directly to the visual since most of the literary references are not part of our culture anymore.
However one might well change the names and have a Miley Cyrus go after a lock from the wig of Tina Turner or Madonna and ... well you get the idea.

I didn't understand the poem. There have been many YouTube performances that I didn't understand as well. So I'm assuming it's been done.

I am going to be in Vegas Sunday - Thursday next week. Where do you play? Thanks for asking David. I'm starting a new band right now (Sacred Cow Barbecue) and rebuilding The Pickadillos (my mando player got deployed in the Air Force and drummer went back to Canada) so I don't see us up and running for a few months. I have a video on the website and you can also search for The Pickadillos on youtube for more of our madness. Back to the original topic, I generally enjoy reading BDC's posts, but this recent series of threads has been odd. He made a few assertions (Most performers don't read and magician less than most) and I was genuinely interested in hearing how he arrived at that conclusion. |

Um... how about what Mary wanted as a real man given her company at the time?

Well, I found the monster to be portrayed much more sympathetically than Victor. Victor was a right prig.

I am with longhaired on this although I have no hair. I generally keep a fair distance between myself and poetry unless it is my 12 year old daughters then I read it often. I did go & read this though & quickly remembered while I do not read poetry, why take a thousand words to say what you can in a few, hey times are tough for everybody so get over it & move on with your life.
