Just a thought on presentation: At the end of the effect do a visual bill switch using a TT (magically removing the door from the bill in the spectator's mind) and explain that this was all in there mind, there was no door, & none of this ever even happened.

Nice idea, Doc. This helps to diminish the puzzle aspect and increase the magical aspect of this effect.

Thanks bill, I agree that it really steps-up the magical quality of the effect.

Yes, it can be done with any currency. In fact, it can be done with stage sized posters. Instructions are provided in the video.

Me too. This trick was well worth the price. I use it all the time. Very easy to carry in your wallet and when you are asked to do a trick and have no time to think of anything this one is very easy to whip out and do. I find it has better results with smarter people. The slower the person I do this for the less impressed they are. Without a good ability to think in 3D this effect can go right over their heads.

This has been in my wallet from the day I got the dvd. Easy to learn and easy to perform. a wonderful effect that takes up virtually no pocket space. I tell the story of how I got Alice in Wonderland out of the library recently and this dollar was a bookmark in the book... etc. Get this. You will not be sorry.

I am now in a job that allows me to perform magic pretty much all day. I perform Wonderland Dollar at least 5-10 times per day. The guys who work with me have seen it dozens of times, and they still love it. I fold the bill up slowly, but I unfold it very quickly, and it seems as if the front of the bill "changes" into the back of the bill visibly. This trick never gets old for lay people. If you do not own this, get one NOW! You will never regret it. Smile

Puzzle or magic? All magic could be defined as puzzles I suppose but what turns them into magical experiences is the presentation offered by the performer. We all know that, nothing new. I own the Wonderland Dollar and carry it in my wallet. Yes, it can be handed out before and after. It's a real bill and there are no gaffs. The fact that an opening flap has been cut into the bill is of no consequence since it has a logical explanation. Since it's carried in your wallet, the prefolded creases can be easily explained away also. There is nothing to conceal. It's a "quicky" but can be presented as mysteriously and magically as you are capable of performing it. I don't see any major reason why anyone who loves things magical/mysterious should be disappointed purchasing this effect.

I'm not the most creative person in the world and would love to hear other presentations. I'll will most likely borrow a little bit here and a little bit there and eventual and collectively put together a presentation that I can call mine. Smile

Personally, I feel that the Wonderland Bill is a "magical puzzle." I honestly do not expect my audience to take away the effect as being magic in the sense that making a borrowed object float or animate to be magic. However, LeSue is quite correct in stating that it is all about the presentation because the Wonderland Bill is a highly entertaining presentational piece that is open to a wide variety of themes. It's magical but I have yet been able to figure a way to make it feel like magic as opposed to a puzzle/riddle.
