Can't beat this idea for maximum visibility. A few years back I purchased three very nice waste baskets at Lowes. They nest perfectly like a big set of regular cups. I use 4 inch sponge balls for the routine and a final load of regular full size volleyballs painted yellow with happy faces.
Stage size cups and balls that all can see. What do you think? Walking Bob in Iowa |

Copper cups, yellow balls, green mat. That's what I use. Sometimes I use red balls if the sun is bright enough outside.
I personally do not use a black mat as I do not use any black colored items in my act, but that's just personal preference, though I suppose there is a certain wisdom in the contrast of black and yellow.
