Hello there,
I am a new ventriloquist. I am studying a lot to make adult shows! I live in Brazil and here we did not get a lot of information. I am studying using the Maher Edition bought with Ventriloquism 101. I have this puppets Axtell ------ Old StoryTeller Duncan the Donut Wildthing Dusty Dragon Geppettos --------- http://i12.ebayimg.com/05/i/001/2c/01/1395_1.JPG Better to see the picture! And 2 characters ... one japanese (latex) and one I made myself. The problem I am having is that I need to put them in my closet safe. I want to know how do you keep your puppets home to protect them! Thanks for the ideas =)

I use Armor All on my Axtell puppets and keep them in suitcases. I have a stockroom for my props but it gets so hot in that room so I don't keep any of my puppets in there. I keep my Axtells in 2 large suitcases (2 puppets per suitcase)and keep them inside one of our small rooms inside the house.
As for my hard figures...I keep them in hard cases, one hard case per figure and keep them inside the house as well and not in the stockroom. I recently bought some extra figures and now I'm 3 figures short on hard cases. I had to take the 3 heads off the bodies and keep the heads in another suitcase with each head wrapped in cloth and bubble wraps. I might just get some extra hard cases from Mr Detweiler soon...or SELL some of the figures. Wanlu
