How could people in Asia and Europe have theirs...
... and I do not?

I ordered on 12/9/08

I left CT on the Jan. 4th....was in LA for a week....and came back, and mine are not here...It has been over 10 days now.

Anyone else not get theirs yet. I am pretty peeved.

No. I think he means the book referred to on the easter egg about their travel experiences.

Here's an interesting find... http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=218

You are correct, I was referring to the book on their experiences.

That was a quite interesting find, btw, great to hear JacQues was creating as recently as those posts. What ever happened with that, anybody know?

It's been a while.. I have missed you guys! What a great community. Just a quick note to sirbrad... What's the deal dude, you are griping and haven't even gotten the set yet... I can tell you from personal experience that Jason has done an awesome job with customer service. His online chat was top notch, he sent us some great bonus material, and he always answers questions here in the forums... You griped about him not replying when he already did! This set is expensive and worth every penny. You have a right to expect great stuff and you will get it. Just quit complaining without even having a reason...that is LAME.

Thanks Jason and everyone else connected with this set!

I have recently signed up for the true astonishment fourms. Im a little confused though. When I log on it says this board has no forums. Theres nothing to read! Where are all the posts and topics that I can read?

I've made several posts about the first DVD. And on a couple of other topics. There are already some good discussions started about the material on the DVD's there. You just have to look for them. I'm sure there will be lots more posts as people get these and watch them.
They also have all the cookies listed if you don't want to hunt for them.

It looks like it is going to be a great forum. I suggest using it as a campanion as you watch the DVD's. You can refer to each topic and record your ideas, ask questions, and get feedback from others.

So, are you saying that all the posts and topics are hidden?

Nothing is hidden, I just signed in and there was the index.

Hi guys,
I'm compiling a list of replacement peeps tonite and will start shipping out discs as soon as they are ready. I really feel horrible that any of you have to go through this and it's not a whole lot of fun on my side either, but whether it be a few days or a week or so, everyone should have a perfectly working set and this will all be a fading memory.....

Once I get the replacement stuff fixed up, I have a lot of stuff I want to contribute to the forums. I was especially looking forward to hanging out there, but no sympathy for the devil I guess Smile

Best,
Jason

So, does this mean you are shipping good discs in place of faulty discs or are you sending out discs with the marshmallow birdies that now come in a variety of colours? LoL

Whats the downside of the vibration though? Can it damage the DVD/DVD player?

I'm a mechanical engineer & have some experience with vibration. The answer to "Can it damage...?" is yes. Now, WILL it damage, maybe/ maybe not. But it should not vibrate noticeably at all. If it reads now, it may not read later; or it may not read in another player/computer. If you notice vibration, get a replacement. Jason has offered a solution & I'm sure that the DVD manufacturer is standing behind his product.

Everything else about this package is superb!! Smile

Jason, since it may take some time before some of us are able to get through all of the DVDs, how long will the replacement program be available? So far I have no problems, but if I discover a bad disk in a week or two, will that be too late?

Some of us haven't even received their sets yet so I think the replacements should be available until everyone has got a chance to test their DVD's Smile

I feel for you, I know how much work you guys have been going through with all this so let me say thanks.

The forums are already pretty interesting, some cool ideas there along with that last cookie on disc 9, which was driving me batty!

In the interest of minimizing your work, I'll make the promise to let you know the status of my disks sometime today. The sooner you know, the sooner you can get it taken care of and have some room to breathe.

Thanks again, I'll be doing all further posts in the True Astonishments forum.

The forum is currently open to individuals who purchased theri TA set through TAP.

Your Thinking Cap:
Does your screen show 'The Official True Astonishments Forums' in the header area of the phpBB webpage? After you log in, it should bring you right to the index. If you don't see the above header I mentioned, I am wondering if you are in the right place. Did you receive a confirmation e-mail from Jason that your account was approved?

I hate to bring any more confusion to this forum situation. Unfortuntely, after beig able to log into the forums several times within the last few days, today I cannot get to the forums at all. It takes me to a page that says "General Error." Does anyone here know how to remedy this?

About the TA forum:
When I signed up Monday night, I got a confirmation within a few minutes and was on. I was on earlier today. Right now it does show an error, but I'm leaving for a gig, I'll be on tonight, hopefully.
Your Thinking Cap: I'd contact Jason or the forum administrator about your problem, I did not have that.

Good luck, and hopefully will be talking to you there soon!
