I love how when no one had their sets, the thread would grow about 4-5 pages a day but now everyone has them, the thread is muchhhh slower.

It's funny that I hadn't noticed it until Nathan mentioned it, but I just picked up where I had left off and now I am very much aware of the "bleeping." I've been so taken with the material that the bleeps go right past me. Even the ones that occasionally fly out of my mouth as I watch the performances.

Me, too. I only found 3 "secret cookies" on volume 1.

The whole presentation (box, design, music, etc.) is absolutely great!

There are 4 Cookies on Disc 1 that I've found. If there are more, they're quite a bit more tricky to find.

Hmmm... If you found 3 then I'm guessing that you are missing the interview. It's worth the search. It won't be long before all are revealed in one forum or another, so sit back and enjoy the ride while you still can.

I'm struck by the photography. It's like a film.

It looks like I have to live vicariously through Chris and a few others longer than I wanted. My shipping confirmation number says I have to wait til Tuesday!

No new 'thorough' 2-disc review thread for me tonight. I had to spend a couple hours troubleshooting a family member's computer, and therefore only had time to watch 1 disc.

However, since I realized I'd only have time for one disc instead of a pair, I decided to break order, and jumped over discs 5-8, and landed right on 9.

The stuff with the TA Pen is really cool, lots of visual stuff. My favorite is definitely Short Term Memory though. How cool is it to make someone forget something in an instant? To me, that's some powerful mental magic.

Angel Cake is also a really nifty concept that I look forward to playing with.

More in-depth thoughts on Disc 9 (and probably 5 and 6 as well) in a separate thread tomorrow night.

Now, it's time to get to bed before 3AM for the first time this week!

TA hits the other side of the ocean today as I received email from my friend who arranged group order for those who treasure the astonishment of Paul¡¦s creations over the years.

Cannot wait to open the wooden box and be amazed, it will take me many sleepless night starting tonight¡K!

This set has so much hype and mystique that it should just magically appear in your living room after ordering it. Or maybe by Paul himself in a mailman uniform. That would be funny. They should have done that to someone as a contest. Imagine hearing a knock on the door, and there is a very familiar looking mailman with a big mustache.

How long is each disk about, an hour?

On Monday and Tuesday it took me about 4 hours each night to get through 2 discs, so more like 2 hours for a disc, give or take.

Hello to all,

Interesting day...nice to see all these excited postings from those who have received their sets. Those who haven't, hang in there.
I came home tonight to find a TA set on my porch...but not much help with your data points Thales, since I didn't order it. Paul is just a champ about taking care of people.
I had not seen the box myself...and I am a woodcrafter, so like many of you, I was pretty stunned by the quality of the box. The wood, jointery, finish, puzzle mechanism (each one was tested btw) all are top-rate. Being a businessman myself, and having produced an item or two, I estimated the best-case-scenario cost of having those boxes made, a jobber discount, video editing, replication, promotion, distribution, compensation to contributors, production of gimmicks, labor, phonecalls and a gazillion other things...and without viewing a single disk...I am already truely astonished...what a bargain.

As I contemplated all this, the phone rang ..."Heyyyy Patrick...it's Paul"...the unmistakable, affable voice. He verified my notions about production costs.
Seems his car is broken down (cracked block) somewhere on the road in north-central California. But in his usual laid-back,cheerful manner he says he is "making new friends". Let's all send him some good vibes and happy thoughts...I know it is scientifically unsound...but so what?

Exitmat (and others), thanks for the kind words about Tensegrity. I still have not seen the final edit myself. Again, any set owner with questions about that particular effect can PM me and I will do my best to help make it work for you.

Now I am going to slip Disk One into my player, kickback and toast Paul and all who made it happen...including all of you who invested on pure faith.

Have fun folks, Patrick
My doctor says that I am losing my short-term memory, and he also says that I am losing my short-term memory.
