Question about the sliding lid cover. One end of the lid (outer/inter) of mine is high polish and darker (matched the rest of wood box), while the other is lighter and looks somewhat unfinished. After admiring the box and the set goodies, I slid the 'unfinished' end into the slate first and closed the box. I then proceeding to follow the instructions to 'lock' the box, but I couldn't get it to lock. After messing around for a while and taking a closer look at the lid and the box itself, I realized that in order for my box to lock, I need to slide the 'finished' end in first, thus leaving the less attractive end to face out.

Is this the way the box was intended, is my lid polished on the wrong end, or are both of the ends supposed to be dark/high polish?

My TA arrived today with a broken box! There is a giant crack and splintered wood along the back left side of the box.

I contacted the dealer to see what my options are but until I hear back I have to refrain from opening the DVD's.

Anyone else receive a busted box?

Hi Guys,
I haven't answered some of the more recent vibration issue questions via email yet. As soon as I know the exact procedure, everyone will be getting an email and I'll be getting out replacements as soon as possible. Please understand that everyone involved in the set is just as bummed out that this is an issue but we are moving forward as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Just to be super clear, as soon as I know how it's going to be handled from our end, you'll be getting an email letting you know when or how the replacements will be coming your way. There are simply too many to go back and forth till I know exactly what's going on. I suspect you'll be getting an email in a few days or so letting you know that the replacements are on their way.

Thank you everyone for your patience and making my life a bit easier by being so understanding and a pleasure to do business with. This sounds kind of corny, but it often feels like I'm dealing with friends and not the dreaded "c" word.

Thank you again!

Best,
Jason

Dear Jason,

Don¡¦t mention it. I regard you as a friend since the personal message I sent to you last time. Besides, the quality of TA will let other instructional producer aware of what quality a decent DVD for the instructional video should look like.

Not to mention your professionalism in dealing with hundreds of orders directly under TAP, Murphys, TA forums (which is up and running now), and all exciting things you will surprise us soon I hope.

I always heard that there are so many good things about magic materials like 10 / 20 years ago that this generation never experience that, now we are proud to say we once was in the generation where TA was release.

See you soon in TA forum and hopefully in real person with Paul in future on this planet Earth, possibly.

So far from the material I have seen,(and I've only watched a fraction of it) this is a lot of real world working magicians material. Good stuff!

What is this vibration issue you guys are talking about? When I play some of the DVDs on my computer I notice a lot of noise and shaking coming from the tower, but they play fine.

Not sure if this is a serious problem or not, anyone care to enlighten me?

Also I've had an issue with the DVD packaging and sent 2 emails to TAP just in case Jason missed it- I am having an issue please help :X

It may be some type of weird code, maybe Paul speaking? Smile

I have had this before with som CDs/DVDs.

I have an older DVD player and most DVD's tend to rattle on it. On the new player DVD's work perfectly. I think you have to upgrade these things once a year or so. Fortunately, they are only about $100 or less.

Your Thinking Cap,
Once you've signed up for the forums, you should receive a confirmation email(s)from Jason (TA) telling you that your account has been activated. After that, you should be able to log on to the forums and see the recent activity. The forums are just starting up so there isn't too much going on. I imagine everyone is still quite busy pouring over the DVD's! Smile

Be patient....it took a while before I received the email.

Hope this helps.

Respectfully,

Ok, hopefully it comes. By the way, I'll take a shot and predict that my number is 223 (Dec 15). Tell me if that doesn't make sense, and I'll change it. Smile

The graph tells me that Dec. 15th should be close to 175.

Acchessor's set ended up being #179 so my graph was pretty close with 175! That is only about a 2% error. Yea for math! It is looking like the total number of signed sets is around 300, maybe just under 300. Which makes our signed sets very special and very rare indeed.

Paul wrote the number when he signed them.

Some of the scenery in these DVD's is breathtaking, (the landscape ain't half bad either) Smile
After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.

Zandura, mine has a polished finished side and a more squared polished side. My lid will fit on either way but it will only lock when the polished and rounded side (the good side) is facing out. I think your lid was made backwards.

Can anybody comment on my question on page 15 about your TA box lids?

Thanks!
