Hi Guys,
I haven't answered some of the more recent vibration issue questions via email yet. As soon as I know the exact procedure, everyone will be getting an email and I'll be getting out replacements as soon as possible. Please understand that everyone involved in the set is just as bummed out that this is an issue but we are moving forward as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Just to be super clear, as soon as I know how it's going to be handled from our end, you'll be getting an email letting you know when or how the replacements will be coming your way. There are simply too many to go back and forth till I know exactly what's going on. I suspect you'll be getting an email in a few days or so letting you know that the replacements are on their way.

Thank you everyone for your patience and making my life a bit easier by being so understanding and a pleasure to do business with. This sounds kind of corny, but it often feels like I'm dealing with friends and not the dreaded "c" word.

Thank you again!

Best,
Jason

Thanks Jason!

That is a very interesting data point. Highest set number yet.

My lid is like Whiskey's.
Polished on both front and back edges, but the back edge is cut square and the front edge is slightly rounded. I am calling them "front" and "back" based on the only way the lid can be oriented in order to lock.

Same as Jay here regarding the lid. I also had vibration issues initially. I simply figured my DVD player was whacked out, but the vibration goes away after a few minutes and I get no vibration in my laptop. I didn't bother popping them into my BluRay player but I'll try that too and see what's up.

What I watched of disk 1 is awesome however I tried all my discs on 2 differnt dvd players and the vibration issue seems to affect my entire set and I get disc read errors. I can not wait to watch them though. I emailed Jason and I know it will get fixed. It sucks that it happened but such is life. Jason has been great so I am not worried about it getting resolved.

Zandura, mine has a polished finished side and a more squared polished side. My lid will fit on either way but it will only lock when the polished and rounded side (the good side) is facing out. I think your lid was made backwards.

Thanks Whiskey!
Looks like you slide that answer in, right as I was posting my second inquiry.

Yep, that's what I was afraid of. The wrong edge is rounded, so my box can only lock if the squared edge is exposed.

Zandura, is it possible that the lid is made right, but the hole for the pin was made on the wrong side? On my box, the hole is on the right hand side. If your lid is made backwards, could you drill a hole on the opposite side of the box so that your box would lock?

I have a new Philips 5140 and it rattles, as it does in the two computer drives (one new, one older). Some disks were just poorly made. Stuff happens. But thankfully replacements are on their way. No need to buy a new player every year (my 10 year old player at work still works fine). At worst, maybe run a cleaning disk through it to clean the lens.

Where are you finding your numbers at on the box?

Paul wrote the number when he signed them.
Only the signed sets are numbered as far as I know.

The underside of my lid is signed, but no number next to it. Oh well, was just curious where it may be hiding lol.

This is so true. That things need replacing. I've recently replaced my DVD players in my computer, and so far my discs have worked perfectly. I have not tried it on the regular DVD players. Probably will not get a chance, as this works fine for me.

Anyone find these interviews and can help me.
Where are all the interviews on the dvd's?
Are they hidden EE?
I've found several EE, but not a single interview.

My box lid finish is the same all the way around. Of course you can tell how to put it on , just match the pin in the lid and hole in the box.
Wait, on close examination, the rounded front edge is a lighter shade than the back square edge. I would have never noticed if you did not call my attention to it.

Now the bottom of my box looks like it is two pieces of wood. As there is a split all the way across. At first I thought it was a sliding pannel.
But it looks like it was made this way.

But I like my box just the way it is. It is my unique box. And you will have to pry it from my dead fingers.

I've made several posts about the first DVD. And on a couple of other topics. There are already some good discussions started about the material on the DVD's there. You just have to look for them. I'm sure there will be lots more posts as people get these and watch them.
They also have all the cookies listed if you don't want to hunt for them.

It looks like it is going to be a great forum. I suggest using it as a campanion as you watch the DVD's. You can refer to each topic and record your ideas, ask questions, and get feedback from others.

When mine is in the locked position, the pin does not move. When in the open position, the pin will move in and out. So I can tilt it to lock it when it is in the open position. That is what freaked me out when I first got it. I could not get it back open. Then I accidently tilted it the correct way and it opened.
Now I know.

Just wanted to make a comment on Bro.

Bro Gilbert's performing style is just so casual. Laid back and refreshingly unique.

For the most part he seems to just present the magic and let it speak for itself. Very entertaining indeed. The man is magic.

Called home and had them pop Disc 2 (I knew that was one of them I had issues with) into the Blu Ray. Vibration and choppy video, I wonder if it has to do with the Blu Ray trying to up-convert? I'm going to check them all on the Blu Ray, as that will be the DVD player for us moving forward and will email Jason if there are issues. I'll also try to let you guys know. Like I said, so far disc 2 had problems on xbox, no problems on laptop, and problems on Blu Ray (which I need to confirm).

Now, back to more pressing issues, who here has started playing with the pen and live audiences? I am truly on the fence about the pen. I think I need to get over it so that is why I am asking.

I've floored a few people with the pen already.
There is no doubt about it, I like the short term memory concept the best.
But I am having fun with Bulldog Nightshades as well.

So true. I agree 100%. He's an amazingly laid back performer on this set and he brings the effects to a miracle level. He has definitely inspired me to strive for greatness.
