I'd be interested to hear if anyone from the UK has the pen up and running yet - does it work with our fivers?

"Extraordinary Proof" has been great! (The Gerard Interview is also very interesting)
Don't underestimate the effectiveness of this routine by its simplicity - the patter Andrew uses really works! |

Discs that rattle your players are due to bad pressing of the DVD. The drive is basically trying every which way to spin the thing so that the laser can get a acceptable read of the data on the disc. I can't wait to pick mines up on Friday during lunch Hope mines doesn't make my drive attempt to take off like a jet fighter!

Whats the downside of the vibration though? Can it damage the DVD/DVD player?

No downside, it just means that the disc is really hard to read. If anything, giving the drive's motor a run for it's money may reduce the life space of the drive motor.

I'm worried that the vibration will cause the harddrive on my laptop to like break or something.... the computer goes nuts.

My box will definately unlock while it is in the "locked " position. While tilting it left and right the PH turns slightly counter clockwise and the lid will slide open.Does this mean my pin is broke or disconected?

I agree it was really no ones fault just a manufacturing error it can happen with anything. TAP has been very professional about everything and I have no doubts that they will get this taken care of as well. I belive Paul and everyone else would want everyone to think positive about it. I just figured it was my luck I just have to wait a little longer but have no doubts it is worth the wait. Everything else is great the box is beutiful and everyone that was envolved is top class as well. No one is really to blame except the dvd manufactures which is beyond anyones control really. If you have the moeny I would recommend buying the set just based off of the little I did watch it is amazing.

I was simply stating that as long as it took to make these there should not be any bad disks. Especially for the price. Also I have yet to see anyone reply to the issues here "Jason?" and offer to rectify them, but were very quick to promote them every day. Nonetheless, I am getting these soon.

However many times throughout the dvds his patter just makes no sense. In Pack of Lies on the 3rd volume his patter is so confusing. I often have to re-watch the performance segment again to understand what I just watched. That Robert Smith guy is even worse I have never seen such a David Blaine copy cat. However I did not buy these dvds to watch the performance styles I bought them because of the material which I think is excellent. Angel Cake alone made me feel happy about my purchase. The Ta pen is so freaking cool. I feel like James Bond when ever I have it with me. After I watched the Tensegrity performance It made me feel like a laymen again. Even though I knew the method behind the effect It was such a beautiful piece of magic. |

I'm sure the master disks were fine and the replicator made an error that was not detectable through spot-checks. I'm expecting my set on Thursday and, of course, hope they are fine. But I believe Jason when he said in his earlier post that everyone involved is upset by this. |

I finally received mine today and man am I pleased. There is a mix of material here. Stuff I'll use all the time, stuff I'll use only in certain situations, and stuff I'll play with, but never use. My box has 2 small scuffs on the top. It looks like the varnish chipped off or something. They are very tiny. It doesn't bother me. Although, I may talk to a woodworker friend and do a touch up job myself. Everyone kept going on and on about how every aspect of this project was so cool. From the box, to the photos on the DVDs, to the bag of props, and of course, the material itself. Well, I finally saw for myself today there was no exaggeration. Wonderull job Paul, Bro, Jason, Patrick and all involved.
PS, I really think they need to release a CD of the soundtrack. There is some really cool stuff there. |

As soon as I know the exact procedure, everyone will be getting an email and I'll be getting out replacements as soon as possible. Please understand that everyone involved in the set is just as bummed out that this is an issue but we are moving forward as quickly and efficiently as possible. Just to be super clear, as soon as I know how it's going to be handled from our end, you'll be getting an email letting you know when or how the replacements will be coming your way. There are simply too many to go back and forth till I know exactly what's going on. I suspect you'll be getting an email in a few days or so letting you know that the replacements are on their way. Thank you everyone for your patience and making my life a bit easier by being so understanding and a pleasure to do business with. This sounds kind of corny, but it often feels like I'm dealing with friends and not the dreaded "c" word. Thank you again! Best, Jason

They have been super professional in offering replacement copies of the DVDs. Jason, along with the dealer, MJM magic. Both have risen to the occasion.
I have been working on "Solid with Happy Ending." The gimmick was very easy to create, and have gotten a good response so far. Forgot to shuffle the deck at the end, and realized how much that sells the effect. Without it, the ending can be transparent. Nice presentation of the Solid Deck though. RevJohn |
