I am having difficulty contacting Jason about the vibrating DVD issue. His PM box here at the Café is maxed out and he hasn't responded to e-mails to the e-mail he listed here in the forum. Does anyone have an alternate e-mail or thoughts as to how to get a message to him? I am certain he is just swamped as he has always provided quick responses previously.

Thanks in advance!

I haven't been able to get a response from Jason either. I assume he's compiling emails and getting things figured out so he can response en masse, or I could be wrong.

My set arrived friday morning, between 10 and 11 am.
It was the only moment in the whole week when nobody was at home. Nor my mom, my dad, or one of my 4 brothers.
So the mailman went away. In the weekend they don't work. I have to wait for the second mailman on monday, but I will leave this evening for work, and I won't be back until next weekend.
I could already been here with my set and I have to wait another week. So close and still so unreachable.
Maybe I will learn something zen and the patience and prolonged waiting will improve my soul and give me more good karma.
Maybe.
Just one more week.
Sigh.

Anyone that has contacted Jason will be taken care of. The disk issue has affected a small percentage of production, but that won't diminish the sense of urgency the folks behind the project have for taking care of everyone that has an issue.

As we can see from impartial reviews of the set so far, it is exceeding the expectations those of us that had for the set. I'm now going back over the set and making notes on what I want to learn to perform. It's been a bit overwhelming as there is so much "A" material to choose from.

Poor me, right? lol.

Be sure and check out Chad Long's Easter Egg on Disc 4 about a shuffling lesson. This one can go into your repetoire almost immediately. It has a great ending in which the spectator is the hero, but has no idea how he, or she, got there.

I performed my first effect from TA yesterday: Lubor's Lens.

So I was at a basketball game, and I turned to a friend who I knew was interested in this sort of stuff. I brought out the lens (I used the credit card protector presentation), and when I put it in my friend's hands, he said, "Is this one of these things that changes what your hands look like?" Seeing that he might be familar, I then proceded to do the effect in another friend's hands. Now, this friend was the friend who heckled me last year and made me quit performing for a while, but I thought that since this was just a cool thing no matter what that it wouldn't matter. So I bring out the pen, place it on his hand, and then proceed to make it disappear. He seemed pretty amazed. I then went into the twisting, and when I showed the twisted pen, he was pretty quiet and, after a while, asked, "Where's the other pen?" So somehow he thought that I switched out pens while it was in his hands. All in all, it went over well, and I like how it isn't presented as a magic trick but as "something else". I'm going to take this today to musical practice and try it out again, and I might also do Twilight Angels and a few other effects.

Hi Guys,
Sorry about the delay on emails, I'm going to be replying en masse tonight to everyone. All who have emailed me so far will be sent out new disks this week! I'm coordinating the effort and there are quite a few who have been affected from TAP. I apologize for the delay, please don't think I'm neglecting you, it's just quicker to send the emails once I've got everything squared away rather than go back and forth with everyone right now.

I should have enough back ups to get everyone's replacements by Wednesday. If there is a further delay I will notify you personally. And if you haven't gotten a personal response by Tuesday morning from me, than email me again and I'll take care of you.

Again, I'd like to apologize for the incredible inconvenience that this has caused all those who were affected. I wasn't prepared to handle this type of widespread situation, as it's only me, but I've got everything back on track.

Best,
Jason

So who here tried TA effects in the real world? How were the responses? I did Angel Cake this morning while waiting at the diner and just WOW. So simple but so evil

The video ( now on DVD ) from a few years ago called The Art Of Astonishment has a great handling for Angel Case involving spirit writing.

Angel Case was one of the TOP effects (there were a ton that stood out so ranking was hard) that stood out when I read the AOA books. I loved it then , Still Do, and cant wait for my new disc so I can see what Angel cake is like....

I am still in awe that Bro could keep his cool and focus during THE RUB on disc nine. I simple don't see how he did it with the lady in the black & white stripe sitting there.
