I'm glad your performance was a hit! It gets addicting doesn't it?

In regards to you being a beginner and buying True Astonishments, WOW! How did that come about?

Wow this thread has really slowed down huh? By the way, taking it all slow myself. 1 DVD at a time, including all Easter Eggs. Each and every item. I watch the effect, then then Explaination, then the Phootnote. After watching each "main" effect, I then go back to each EE and watch each of those. Due to being in the Army, I don't have tons of time, but I am completely thru 4 of them. I am looking forward to all the rest, but my scheudle doesn't permit it. That being said, I have already added 3 effects to my list, and have peformed them multiple times now. Shuffling Lesson and Osmosis and Stapled Warp. I already did Card Warp fairly regularly, but the addition of the stapler is great! I work in an office for part of my day, so I just use one from someones desk!!!

Also! Anyone see or have said anything about Big Tiny, looking like "Unshuffled" by Paul Gertner?

HEre is the link to YouTube...

I'm going through the set again and making notes. This is a monster of a set, filled with material for workers. It will be studied and dissected and talked about for years.

Lot's have people have said something about that.

In the end, they are different effects completely. On the most basic level, one is completely bereft of audience involvement and one isn't. To me, for the way I perform these days, I like all the audience interaction I can get. I think it's exceptionally personal though.

They are indeed two different effects. There's a great illusion of free will/choice that goes along with Big Tiny that Unshuffled doesn't offer. Unshuffled is amazing in the sense that the spectator is likely to go "Wow, the magician is amazing, how'd he/she do that?" while Big Tiny has that double whammy kind of effect where the spectator is likely to go "Wow, the magician is amazing, how'd he/she do that? Wait, I picked the piles though, how did I... he/she... wtf?"

I ordered my set today from The Astonishment Project. If it is half as good as his past books and other DVD's then my money was well spent. I had to buy it from the mother site to support the project and what not. (the perks from buying from those guys helped to) My Mondo Niffty Paul Harris library will soon be complete. Thanks to Mr. Harris for all he has done for the art of close-up and magic in general.

I'm on the email list for one of the internet vendors offering the TA set. When I first read the description, I guessed that the cost would be well over $500. So I read on and after finding the TA site, decided to make the purchase directly. I was familiar with Paul Harris & enjoyed his straightforward style. I liked the signed set offer from TA. So glad I made the plunge.

I receive them 4 days ago.
Just finished watching the whole set and I am totally speechless.
I cannot thank enough Paul Harris and all the other people involved for this wonderful journey. What they managed to fit in that beautiful box is a lot of magic that will affect me for ever. You get to see amazing magic performed most of the time from a great performer (Bro Gilbert) on the best ever magic related DVD quality.
Really thanks for that!!

I finished the set last night, and, like Titanas, I'm speechless. The final interviews on the set are filled with tons of information to help any magician improve and gain confidence in their art. When Paul said that he thought magic was the highest of the arts, I felt a sense of confirmation that this is something really valuable. Thanks to Paul, Bro, Jason, and anyone else involved with the set!
