Here is a little gag you can do with a lighter.
Take an old, empty lighter and stuff a piece of balled up flash cotton in the opening where the flame is. When you flick the flint wheel, there will be a flash and puff of smoke. For a different effect, add some sparkle powder to the cotton. DO NOT DO THIS WITH A FULL LIGHTER!

Nice idea !! Thanks for sharing and for the disclaimer!! (important point that the lighter be empty otherwise)

If you pack it the right way, there will be a smoke ring.

I don't know how a lighter works, but I would think it could back into the lighter and explode.
I gave my disclaimer. Anything you do now, that's your problem.

It is very funny to do.It doesn't matter if the lighter is full or not. There is now way for the flame to get into the fluid.I am going to start doing this especially for those who smoke this is great.Let someone use your lighter and BAM!!

Don't use a full dollar store lighter, I would be afraid to do it with a full one of those. I used one one a while ago and when I flicked the flint wheel it fell apart.
If you pack it tight enough you get a smoke ring which is cool.

I've done this for at least 15 years and I use a zippo solely for the gag. Much more space for the flash paper/cotton and durable construction.
