My favorite V-day routine is the split deck. Talk about weather the couple is fated to be together and have both of them pick half a card. On the reveal tell them it must be ment to be.

I have a special version of anniversary waltz based on a great Seth Kramer routine. Twilight Angels is also perfect, as is sponge bunnies, (not my style though.) Another great one could be Tamariz's centaurs and mermaids.

Nathan Kranzo has an entire PDF of this sort of magic for $15, I think. Check out his website as there is some really good stuff in there.

This is an entire booklet of close up effects specifically created for that “special” couple. How many times have you approached a table where there is an anniversary, proposal, or some other “lovey-dovey” event? Now you will be ready to perform close up magic with a romantic touch that is perfect for such an occasion. Here is a collection of special effects JUST for that moment. Ring productions, flower productions, coin effects, card effects, tricks with lockets, candy, flash paper, dollar bills, and more! These are the things that will make them remember you for a long time since it all seems so special just for them. Believe me, when the occasion arises and you do one or more of these effects, you can’t miss!!! Here is a sneak peak at the table of contents… Intro An Element of Pride and Joy- Reed McClintock Catch and Kiss – Sean-Dylan Reidweg Haunted Key 2 – Keven Williams Two Hearts That Burn As One – Keven Williams Heartburn – Nathan Kranzo Heart Shaped Flash – Nathan Kranzo Heart Wrenching Coincidence – Keven Williams Ring(a) – Tomas Blomberg Relic – Nathan Kranzo Ring of Fire – Nathan Kranzo She Loves Me Not – Marcelo Contento Signature Waltz – Keven Williams Two Coins in Love – Nathan Kranzo Two in the heart, One in the Locket – Keven Williams When Coins Collide – Keven Williams I’m With Him – Luke Dancy Danke – Nathan Kranzo Cut Myself On Angel’s Hair and Baby’s Breath – Steve Mayhew Diamond-wing – Gregory Wilson Additional Thoughts

After reading the post, I would say avoid anything that might involve writing! Maybe sponge bunnies. LOL But seriously, some good suggestions have been offered, good luck with your gig.

Thank you all for your suggestions an information
I have got a new delama and that is reasearching all of the material you have suggested to see what fits my style. I don't think I would use ashes on arm it just feels a bit dirty to me, maybe if it was street magic but at a paid gig where people are eating ect I feel its not the right thing to do and besides now with the no smokeing ban indoors all over the uk it would be difficult to come across ashes. but if it works for you natanel then great if its not broken don't fix it as thay say thank you all again for your information it is gratelly appreciated |

I worked two venues on Valentine's day for a total of 5 1/2 hours. I performed just 3 effects. Michael Mode's "Napkin Rose" with the rose scent and light ending. The rose went to the lady from her man. Tony Binarelli's "Lips". The Lips card went to the gentleman from his lady. And ended the set with the "Anniversary Waltz. The card was given to the both of them. Perfect, everything was well received.

I love romantic magic,
I have two tricks that fall into the lovey dovey category, I call one of them "love story" and the other is "cupid" one is with sponge balls the other with cards...these are the tricks I use that get an "awwww that's so cute" reaction...theyre both in my DVD "art of attraction" but this isn't about commercial plug in or anything... honestly take your favorite spectator finds spectators card type effect and build it up to test connection...i love that kind of thing! |
