Is there a quicker method (or an input area that I don't see) other than hitting next, next, on a forum page with 77 pages..?? It doesn't list all the page numbers but goes from page 4 to 77 on up...

Not really, but there is a trick you can use if you want. If you go to page 2 of any thread you'll see "start=30" in the page address. Each page is 30 posts, so to jump ahead 10 more pages just change the 30 to 330 and enter it. Kind of cumbersome, I know, but it works.
Somebody kick me off the computer, will ya?
