Hi all,
First off all I'm not sure if it is called pilot in this language but we call it like that here in Turkey. I'll take a video footage this week for a tv program which I'll present to sponsors and to the channel (thats what we call pilot) Briefly, there will be street magic, magic with celebrities, and a grand scale illusion every week. I would love to hear any advices you might have on this issue. Any ideas for grand illusions which can be done outdoors with minimum cost to include in the video footage? Any marketing advice ? If any of you did a similar project, any warning of a unforseen event that might occur which I should take precautions about? etc... I'm looking forward to hear your answers,my time is limited and I'm sure there is a lot more I can do in this limited time with your help.... Best wishes, Doruk |

I am in a very similar situation (although in the UK & Mentalism over Illusions) The only advice I can suggest is not to pick effects you or others magicians like, all too often we are blinded by iggnorance. Pick ones the Public will enjoy. Let me expand on that a little Penn & Teller / Cris Angle are very big in the US but not anywhere else. Derren Brown & Max Sommerset are the UK most telivised magicains but again unknown else where. Because they cater for their audiances in there own way.
In short what would appeal to Turkey's heart & mind? |

Tony thanks for your reply and I see that this is your first post,so wellcome to the Café.
I was discussing with my crew today and we asked ourselves the very same question you have wrote. In a way,my first line customers are going to be turkish audiences so as you said I 'll have to act in a way that they would like. |
