How much do you really know about America? Take the citizenship test.

That cannot be modeled after the real citizenship test. Please tell me it's not... Too easy!

The quiz declared me a genius. Now, if I had had to take the test in Spanish, the result might have been different.... |

28/30. One of my mistakes was just plain stupidity on my part. It was all general knowledge for me, but I live next to you guys and can't escape American news and entertainment. I'm not so sure someone from Europe or Asia would find the test so easy.

8 - Unfortunately, the way we're headed, this question may have to be updated soon.
17 - I can't abide that word "civil"! 21 - The accompanying graphic shows that Iowa doesn't border Canada, so even if you're bad with geography, you know that C is wrong. 23 - Got it wrong. "Basis of the Constitution established"? Um, the principles were established in the Federalist Papers. This one could be more specific. 29 - The most junior Supreme Court Justice is traditionally the one who must do things like open the doors for the other justices, act as a "go-fer", if needed, and so on. When Justice Breyer was appointed in 1994, he had this distinction. When Roberts was appointed in 2005, he normally would've taken over this grunt work, but his appointment as Chief Justice automatically made Roberts the most senior justice, and Breyer had to wait until the end of January 2006, when Alito was appointed, for someone else to take those duties over! 29/30 correct! |

I should have gotten 29...I spaced out on two of the questions, even though I knew the answer, I let the pressure get to me.
Besides, I like knowing that I'm not perfect. I love my little flaws, they make me unique! |

The fake answer "Civil Rights War" was highly amusing to me, (don't know why, but it made me laugh...) and probably a stumbling block to quite a few people...

Missed House of Rep terms - thought it was 4, and number of senators - I guessed 105 (thought Hawaii & Alaska may have spoiled a nice round number). I think anyone who had been following the presidential race over the past year or so would have picked up most of these.

29/30 including a couple of lucky guesses. If I'd read the above comments I wouln't have missed the House of Representative term question. Dang, I should learn to cheat more.

Scott, number 23 almost got me as well. But the key word was "event". Now, the publication of the Federalist was arguably a kind of event, but I figured that was too much of a stretch for the author of the quiz and decided against it.
