Due to the sheer volume of material on these disks, it would be interesting to get everyone's opinions regarding their favorite effects.
Mine are: 1. Ripped and Fryed 2. Extraordinary Proof 3. Water Trap 4. Big Tiny 5. Tubular |

Hey John, question that maybe you may be able to answer, why is ripped and fryed loved so much? I don't really get it apart from the method being very clever and fun. Effect-wise, for a t'n'r Hollingworth's and Garcia's I feel are better t'n'r effects. Any comments?

Oh, by the way, my favourite 5 right now is as follows:
1. Weirdling 2. Dunn's Deal 3. Smoking I 4. Twilight Angel's (the extra little prep for the gaff I feel adds a lot to the visuals of the effect when compared to the original, maybe not for the magician but it adds a little extra for the spectator) 5. Backlash 2 These are in no particular order. |

Dookie,
I agree that Hollingsworth's and Garcia's are extremely visual and outstanding. They are the best traditional T&Rs out there for my money. I simply like the parallel to sawing a lady in half that Ripped & Fryed provides. It is this presentation angle alone that makes it stand out to me. I can't speak for anyone else. |

I see I see. I personally haven't tried it out on any laypeople yet, how are you finding the layaudience's appreciation for it compared to typical t'n'r's?

I never performed Hollingsworth's Restoration as it just seemed too insanely difficult. I tried to learn Garcia's, which was very similar, but gave up that one before performing as well. R&F has played very well, but I am obviously not in a position to compare it to the others.
When I perform R&F, I talk about how I would love to show them the effect in which a woman is cut in half, but can't afford the equipment. They think I'm just going to do a gag with the cards, which drops the expectations, so that when the card is restored, it is quite a shock. The other T&R's are very deliberate and straightforward, which doesn't appeal to me quite as much as Frye's version. |

Five? That's tough on a set of this magnitude, but I'll play:
Lubor's Lens Gerard's Warp Tensegrity Water Trap The TA Pen There are more, but I'm playing the pick five game.

Yup, kind of resembles the feel of the entire TA set. Personally I felt that the whole set was a exploration of what the experience of magic is. It was a big bonus that it also contained so many very good effects that were aimed at making it magical for the spectator more so than the performer (though admittedly, Ripped and Fryed amongst others is something that is just a lot of fun for the performer as well).

Lubor's Lens (I've performed this four times so far - it never fails). Twilight Angels Stapled Warp Extraordinary Proof Cheng's Change That was pretty tough, and once I get the replacement discs, I'll have a fun two months. |

Tensegrity Stapled Warp Halfmoon Voodoo Shuffling Lesson I may very well change my mind by tomorrow.
After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.
