Just a heads up for those who may have missed the postings about this new offering from the Professor Slim King over in the Penny For Your Thought forum.

It is the effect/presentation that almost got him onto the NBC show PHENOMENENON. They flew him out to Hollywood to do this thing and he made it down to the final 20. (Ended up being an alternate).

Some of you may have heard him do it on the radio for DJ’s I also know quite a few from the Café have had him perform it for them over the phone.
PM him and I am sure he will still demonstrate it for you.

Word was that Slim did this over the phone with the casting agent he then did it for a room full of producers and NBC suits. I was there and could hear the shouts and laughter out in the lobby when he was performing for them out in Hollywood.

I have performed it for quite a few magicians and friends both over the phone and in person.

In fact I rattled Mick Ayres cage a good one with this effect.

I've been a big fan of this for some time now, and the possessive SOB in me is a little bit sad to see it being released.

Some people might ask: Given that the world already has Thomas Baxter's 'RPS Entity' and Patrick Redford's 'The Call,' do we really need another over-the-phone Rock Paper Scissors effect? For me, the answer is an emphatic yes. I like all three versions, and each of them offers something good that the others don't. So if you're interested in the effect, it will be well worth it to learn all three authors' takes on it. By having them all in your brain and being able to mix and match, you can be an unstoppable roshambo machine.

Favorite performing experience with this: I found myself in a high school Caféteria where an entire table full of kids (8-10 or so) were intensely playing "Speed RPS." I bet them I could beat every one of them with my back turned. And I did. It was a glorious thing.

I, too, will quite enjoy having a third source...now...if Slim would quit dangling the carrot (read: aged bottle of rum), and just drop the bomb on me!
