Good news, Stone. Glad to hear it.

Told ya he'd be alright, tell others to stop starting the wars, specially that one peace loving group involved with pretty much every conflict in the world, you know the one....and no usual suspects not the US.

I want to bump this thread.

Just saying.

I figure that my post count means that I can bump a thread when I want.

Anyone have loved ones in Iraq or Afghanistan? Let us know. It means something. I'm an anti-war peace-freak kind of dude, but those guys and gals in harm's way deserve special prayers/thoughts/considerations.

My nephew was in Iraq and / or Afghanistan doing base and equipment inspections for the U.S. Air Force a month or two ago. Where he went was classified, so I don't know precisely where he was. But it was somewhere hot and sandy. Smile

Maybe he was in San Diego with Devious.

Well, I do know it was within those countries I mentioned (plus Qatar, which I forgot) ... just not sure which bases or locations therein. Smile

Glad he made it there and back safely and all. I have had friends and family members there. I do not know of any there now. Except for one that goes at intervals as an escort although he is part of FBI.

I agree. My cousin actually was out there. He's currently home, but will more than likely go back again. He has a wife, and a young daughter as well. I can only imagine what it's like for them every time he goes back.

So, have you gotten to feeling that he's being used as a hostage yet?

We gotta raise the budget to support our troops over there where they are in constant danger, surrounded by people with little interest in sending him home safely, right?

:(

Don't know how I missed this.

Mark, I don't know what to say. But something should have been said. I'm just not wise enough to have the words. Peace be with you, brother.

Hello stoneunhinged,

I just want to say that I am very glad your nephew made it home alive! Tell him that I said "Welcome home!" and that I salute him for serving our country!

markmagic,

I am terribly sad to hear that you lost your son in Iraq. I know no words of sympathy can offer any comfort, but remember, your son died so that others may live. That's why it is so important that us Americans live good, honorable and productive lives so that we honor the memory of your son.
