Yup, I cracked for gimmicks lol. I had a great idea today for the $2.85 trick but I was wondering if this effect can be kept as loose change in your pocket or in a purse freely without the gimmicks nesting when my hands go into my pockets or in just every day life. Also, who sells the cheepest version of this? Again, I'm not looking for EXTREME quality being that it is just loose change to them lol.

Look on eBay. I bought a used Sasco $2.85 a couple of months ago for about $10. But that was rare. New sets are sold for around $30. Google Sasco coin magic and you will find lots of online stores that sell this. Sasco is probably the lowest cost version.
Oh yeah, I doubt that they will self nest in your pocket. They are loose until you close the dollar. The smaller coins don't lock. Only the final. You would need to bring them out in a closed fist though, as you wouldn't know which sides would be showing.

It would be very hard to bring these coins out of your pocket in the proper orientation to perform and you would not want to set them up on your hand in full view of the spectator. They only have one “viewing” side until the Half dollar is completed.
