If I'm going to stick with Eisenhowers for a while, I was wondering if there are recommendations for "roughening" up the edges for a better grip.

Work with them for a while, they should be OK to palm. You might try some Rosin.

Jeweler's file, and patience.

Thanks, I'll try a file.
I'm doing a lot of edge grip stuff with them, and you know how slippery the suckers are. |

If you are going to buy a jewlers file... and take the time to file each coin... Just buy some Morgans or Peace dollars with good edges... no more then 20 bucks a pop... Peace dollars you can get even cheaper...
Plus clad coins are allways going to be slick... Silver is the way to go. Good luck
Shawn.

I just went to IKe dollars too...recently though I have soft Morgans.. I think you just need to adjust to the coins as is.. you might find that this might not be too hard... to make the coins more special might make it harder to perform if you happen to misplace them and get some regulars... again I think you can adjust to the coins themselves without doctoring them up ...you might be surprised
Just a thought. Marty |

Hmmm, very good point, Marty. I guess I should look to technique.

If you have to alter your coins, then you aren't ready to use coins...
