Hello,
I am looking to learn a curious trick which I saw performed at Blackpool. The effect was with a rope which he made a loop and moved it up and down the rope. He then pulled the loop off and then put it back on. Any ideas? |

I don't know Dr. Sawa version, but it looks like Flip´s “O-pener” You can find this version in Flip-Ringmaster in the Ropes Vol.3 by L & L Publishing – DVD Or in Professional Rope Routines (World's Greatest Magic) - DVD Excuse my English Marcelo

The trick is called the UFO rope trick. I don't know if Dr. Sawa published it any were he preforms it on the old Stevens tape.

Yes, there is a performance-only version on the Greater Magic Video Library No. 43. Unfortunately the workings aren't explained.
