It's well-made and I find myself using it quite a bit. I'm not fond of the velcro for the belt loop (but then I wouldn't wear it on my belt anyway) but it's otherwise classy. (There's no way it will hold two full decks, however.)

Mine does not have a velcro for the belt loop. It is just 2 loops stiched to the case

Ya, same here, just two loops, no velcro. I have one, but don't use it. I used to put packet tricks, ect in it, but I just found I didn't use it much. I think I will probably give it another try though. I tried putting two decks in it, and it fitted, but it was almost bursting open. It was a very tight, and uncomfortable fit. So I just use one deck of cards. And I put packet tricks, predictions, and busness cards in the extra pockets.

Correction. Sorry about that, the belt loop does not have velcro. But the flap closes with velcro, and that's the only thing I dislike about the case. It's otherwise fairly classy.

I own one and use it but it just isn't large enough.
It is extremely limited in it's uses but does have uses.
If you don't mind just carrying some cards and some coins your in business.

Hi,

I have both this, and the Buma Kangaroo pouch from Stevens Magic. Actually, I prefer the kangaroo pouch. It seems to be better organized for the way I use it. It is also larger. It has snaps for fastening to your belt, and uses magnetic buttons for the closure on the front. It also has two small "pockets" in the front for coins/etc. It is more expensive, but the leather seems to be more durable, so I think that it will last longer (probably forever). One other interesting feature is that it is set up to load a signed palmed card in the back, so you could do a sort of "signed card to wallet" if you wanted to. The decision is up to you, but I wanted to tell you about this. Use whichever works best for you, and fits your budget. My criteria is that I want what works best for me professionally (sometimes, a bargain is not a bargain). Below is a link to the kangaroo pouch.

I think the velcro is better than using a snap to close it. Few things look sloppier than having to fiddle with a snap. Velcro allows me to close it quickly, without fumbling with it.

I used to use a pouch with a snap, but hated the fumbling. Also, a snap tends to put too much stress on the item, causing it to tear loose when opening it. Velcro distributes the stress over a larger area, making it more durable.

Alan,

I never had any problems "fumbling" with the fasteners. They are magnetic buttons (on the kangaroo case)...you let go, the magnetic buttons attract each other, and it fastens itself...no fumbling. It takes about the same amount of effort as velcro to open.

Yes, exactly, a magnetic button would be better. The problem I have with velcro is the noise and its generally low-class usage. (When was the last time you saw a Coach bag with velcro? Never? Exactly my point.)

Hi,

I have used Joshua Jay's Pro Carrier for a deck switch and have tucked the flap (with the velcro tab) back behind my belt when it is in use. This way there's no noise. Actually you could even tuck the flap into the carrier if you want.

"(When was the last time you saw a Coach bag with velcro? Never? Exactly my point.)"

I agree and would go even further and ask when was the last time you saw person with a 'fanny-pack, coach bag or hip pack' at a cocktail party. Never. The Pro Carrier is essentially unseen under a jacket, or under an untucked shirt. In fact I have strapped it to the inside of my leg, just below the calf with a tensure bandage when I have worn just a dress shirt and dress pants. Great place to carry an extra deck. Just bend down to tie your shoes and.... a new deck appears! In fact use two on each to maintain balance! and carry another deck (or in my case the ashes of my dearly departed dog Flash).

I think the Carrier is great.
But...I also have a fetish with velcro.
In fact I'm in a bath tub full of the stuff right now.

Yes, I believe a bath tub with velcro is very theraputic indeed, seriously.

One aspect that stands out to me to be very stong is the fact that you can have a nice business card displayed in the outside holder for all to see when you place the carrier on the table. Folks can see that you have business cards available for the asking.

If you don't carry a deck of cards in it, yes. If you do carry cards, you won't be able to close the flap when the TT is inside the case.
