Bauhaus, "Hollow Hills" and "Bela Lugosi's Dead"
The sound quality isn't fantastic on these, but you get the idea: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AP6V-DqlBQk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zq7xyjU-jsU&feature=related This one is more chaotic, but awesome: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcLw28dRa5g&feature=related

Wow, no one has said DJ shadow or DJ Krush yet, I'm stunned. I would check them out. Brilliant for what you are suggesting (although try to go for the earlier stuff).

All I can say is "wow"!
The muso in me loves listening to all this - particularly liked TGTBATQ and enjoyed Bowie cut to the film a LOT. I mentioned Nox arcana in my original post, and egregor mentioned to me that they have a new pirate/seadawg based CD; there are some great jigs and shanties on there in their own style. If anyone else has suggestions please let me know - I promise to listen to everything mentioned at least twice! Thanks again all S

My mystery tune was solved - see "In a house post..."
There was another one I got obsessed with... ...the zombie music from Call of Duty: World at war - called "Lullaby for a dead man": http://www.muziboo.com/goldkiller19/musi......dead-man Does anyone have a non-vocal version of this?
