When can you do insult humor and not only get away with it but actually endear yourself to the audience? When you are the butt of your own jokes. I attribute a significant part of my success as a performer to self-deprecating humor. Read the article on my blog for my info.

I just updated the blog... The bulk of my work comes from corporate banquets and events. Very often, these clients conduct face-to-face interviews before booking an entertainer. Wow! Thanks very much, guys, for your kind words. "Highlight" is high praise!
Andi: Nope! Not even close. Chris was WAAAAAY behind me back then, as were Palmer and Townsend--not even close back in the day. It was Peter Marucci, and he only had like 100 more than me. However, I backed off on magic for several years and rarely posted--only popped in once in a while to check PMs--and I got passed by a bunch of guys. I don't think I'm even top 20 anymore.
