I recently rediscovered this item I had packed away for some time and am trying to find out more about it. All I could find was its working mentioned in Tarbell volume 2 page 250. The one I have is stamped ("Gordien's magical card riser.,Guaranteed protected , 1931") Any info about Henry Gordien or the gimmick would be great. I would be curious as to its value as well. I attached images of it below.

I have one of these, too. Mine has a little bigger motor, but I think these were all basically "one-offs."
According to Jay Marshall, Henry Gordien was the inventor of the salt pour. If your card rise works, it would be worth somewhere around $300 - $500. It's also mentioned in Greater Magic.
