David, given your emphasis on coins, can you tell us what your working repertoire is like for, say, an evening's work at a restaurant? What percentage of the magic you'd do that night would be coin effects, and what part cards, or other things? Do you close a set at a table with a coin trick? If so, which one(s)?

I always open with the $2.00 bill to two $1.00! Then, mostly, I will do Sponge Dice, My Open Travelers coin routine, a bill trick, then maybe Rising Card! That's a standard set! I also have my 2 ball one cup with me and my rubber bands!

Very interesting. I would have expected more coins. (My sets certainly are coin-laden.) Funny, Goshman did a killer act based mostly on coins, but closed with the rising cards, too. Maybe there's something everyone's not telling me????

Hi Curtis,
If I am doing a bar set or have more time at the table I will do my longer coin set! I don't know, rising card just kills! Also I set the deck in front of my tip glass and the card rises up! Best David Neighbors The Coinjurer |
