There's a very nice chapter on IT work in the new David Regal book. Just a couple of effects, but they've changed how I think about levitation effects. Probably not the first stop for a beginner, but put it on your list.
One hint from the book: try to work out moves in which the levitating object moves (or appears to) in the opposite direction from your movements. This can be very deceptive in dispelling an audience's guess as to how your animating the object. Also look at Tommy Wonder's essay on the Zombie in his book--many of his thoughts on the Zombie can be applied to any levitation. -Rob |

Hi The Ammar and LeClair DVD are a "GOLD MINE" ! One of my best magic purchases ! The LeClair hookup is perfect for me. My first hook up, many years ago was Kennedy's floating bill. With LeClair's method I can be prepared all night,as long as my IT stays intact. I have been wearing the hookup, Ammar's sugestion, during the day, when I'm not doing magic. I've been keeping the IT intact longer than I thought possible.

I still reference these DVD's ever so often because there may be something I have overlooked or maybe what didn't work before does work for me now. There is nothing quite as magical as something floating in mid air without any apparent hookups. Good Luck and enjoy.

Regarding the wax topic:
IMHO the best wax on the market is the Mesika wax. Comes in a small tin with around 150 ready to go pieces. Also worth looking at is Michael Ammar's Dexter's Flesh Coloured Putty. Good luck Amigo! TGR
We are inclined to believe those whom we do not know because they have not yet deceived us...
